No need to give beginner lessons on every video, if they don’t know how to crochet teach that from a different video

I love this pattern! It's a real standout among the bowl cozy patterns that are out there online. The different sizes in the pattern and all the tips are very helpful. I made a few just to test out my skills and then made a bunch for Christmas gifts (they were very well received). I added loops of chain stitches in the corners and then sc over the loops for sturdy hand holds. It's a keeper!

Does this work the same way in the round? Thank you for this video!! 😊
@TwistedYarns
@TwistedYarns 23 күн бұрын
That depends on how you define "in the round". It works if the base row is a foundation of chains and then slip stitched together to form a large ring such as to form the circumference of a sweater or sleeve, cowl etc. If you are starting with a ring to work a motif like a granny square, this will not work.

Love this! How many stitches need to be in foundation / sides for the mushroom border to match up with the base piece?
@TwistedYarns

This is a multiple of 6 plus 1. It is covered in the video along with other pointers to turn the corners. I appears at about 1 minute and 45 seconds on this video also.

Lovely! What's the math on the foundation row or number of stitches for the base piece so that the mushrooms line up?

I’m so confused about you saying for row 3 just do a single all the way around but for row 4 put 2 over the stitch marker. Because we also put two single right before row 3. So are you saying put 2 single crochet over the gussel in row 4? (I’m on first row of blue)
@TwistedYarns
@TwistedYarns Ай бұрын
One marker is at the beginning of the row and one under the gusset. On row 3, by working 1 sc in each stitch there are no increases. But on Row 4, you are placing an increase over the marker that is a few rows below. This is where the gusset will be developed as you proceed on.

Hello, what size is the socket screwdriver you use to remove the needle beds? Thx, Paolo
@TwistedYarns
@TwistedYarns Ай бұрын
I believe it is a 5.5mm box spanner. A box spanner is different from a socket. It is narrow all the way down to the end and fits thru certain parts of the Passap to reach the nuts. You can get this tool from Michael Becker at Distinctive Knits. You may also be interested in his book "Be Your Own Passap Paramedic" It is excellent. Also if you are working on a Passap Pinkie or DM-80 (green), the tool may be a slightly different size but the principle is the same.
