This is going to be a long comment so I’m really sorry but I would be very interested in hearing you talk to people from other psych jobs. I feel like while we were in uni the most talked about was the Clinical Psych or Phd options so now after graduation we’re kind of in an unknown and we don’t know our options besides the ClinPsy. I’d really appreciate hearing people talk about how they got into other courses and their experiences with the job, especially with Systemic Family Therapy as the route seems very confusing to me. It seems like as Psychology graduates the only way to do it is either get a masters in something different such as social work and work a bit or do a doctorate. I’d also be interested in hearing an Educational Psychologist talk about their job and distinguish how it differs from Clinical Psychologists working in CAMHS, especially from an EdPsych that works in CAMHS. There is also the route of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist which I don’t think was mentioned here but is also an option. And finally, I think a couple videos on the HEE funded postgraduate roles such as the PWP, CWP, EMHP etc, talking to people who are not using these roles as a stepping stone for the doctorate but actually considering them as their whole career would be great. Most often these are not viewed as career paths but just stepping stones and it’d be interesting to know if they are feasible to consider as a whole career.
