Man, I miss masters so much gotta tell ya. It was genuinely so unique compared to Bunnings and other hardware stores. I really hope one day they comeback if its possible. Really tired of seeing beautiful old masters stores turn into those pathetic looking shopping centers. Except for the ones that turn into bunnings which actually serves the buildings its purpose.

Yeah I’m with ya 100% Being both an employee & customer there was something refreshing about Masters compared to the other big box hardware stores. I had some great memories for sure
@vLadeV102 ай бұрын
@@lukegenesis for real. Masters way different considering its building exterior designs (pretty modern looking) that fits well with a warehouse. Along with having clean polished floors, good lighting. And a fresh and neat looking layout. They also sold appliances such as washing machines which bunnings never sold at that time. Man I just hope it comes back one day. I would always look at the reviews of ex masters stores that converted into bunnings and it was mostly about how people missed masters and liked it better.

@JonFromWA Жыл бұрын
You didn't adjust for the master gain on setup, so that's why you had feedback. I think a lot of new owners get into it so quickly, they often skip the setup guide for tuning in the settings. Overall though, it's a great little add-on.

Sounds fantastis but looks like a fantastic way to damge the inside or outside of the guitar. I've emailed the people at Toneweood and they say removing the x-brace may require "sawing" under the pads with a credit card, following by removing adhesive from the inside of the body. I also wonder about surface damage to the outside from the amp portion.
@ChaseMeNovember Жыл бұрын
Good video, but this product and company are garbage without exceptions! It killed itself after only a few sessions, and the company won't stand by their products. I sent it to them upon request and never saw it again, nor have the company compensated me. Worst money I've ever spent, easily! If you buy this product, you are shredding your money on a poorly manufactured product and an irresponsible/incompetent company. Save yourself from this experience! They offered me a discount for 15% off a new one. What an absolute joke! They never even sent MY PROPERTY back! I would die before buying anything else from Tonewood.

You spend way too much time checking the battery power and then wasting time changing them out. 2 weeks 24 batteries. Buyer beware...

How do the legs stay in there? What pick up do you use?
@gevansmd1 Жыл бұрын
From other videos the legs have adhesive on the pads so the x-brace is essentially glued to the inside of the guitar.

That's a big and unique masters right there. I miss masters alot, I used to go there when I was younger. It was really good, the ceiling had really good looking air conditioners, the colours were Bright, and they had some really good stuff and a really good layout of their products.

If fitting the Magnet is impractical for a SlimLine guitar; could the Amp be attached using strips of Blu-Tack, please?
@lukegenesis2 жыл бұрын
I had a think about that option.. It may actually work as the back of the amp has a mini subwoofer type of speaker. So in theory if you have a good adhesive/grip from the amp to back of guitar it’ll definitely work
@paulaungiers87342 жыл бұрын
@@lukegenesis Thank you very much for writing. Presumably the Amp is not very heavy, so yes, I would have thought Blu-Tack could work(?) If you ever come by any Blu-Tack, please test it and let me know the outcome! Cheers.

What does the equation mean for the grind size? For example “20 = 60 clicks” for the medium grind on the Q2. I’m probably being dense but I can’t work it out.
@lukegenesis2 жыл бұрын
That’s definitely a fault on my part So sorry! It’s suppose to be “2.0 Rotations = 60 Clicks” But I ended up doing 20,50 etc 😅
@wankerfactor2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Just got my Q2 a couple days ago and still trying to get it dialed in. Just to make sure I’m understanding right: It’s 3 clicks per number and 10 numbers per rotation? So I should be in the neighborhood of 36-54 clicks for Aeropress? Love the production quality of your video BTW…

Good question, pressurised baskets the Q2 will work great. If you can find Theo old Q2 grind chart it actually has expressive settings on it. I’m not to sure why they took it out of the most recent grinds chart though 🤨

How long do each of them take to grind 15 grams at similar grind size?
@donh15722 жыл бұрын
I landed up buying both. Anyone interested. The JX at 16 grams took about 30 seconds and the Q2 took 39 seconds. However the Q2 is more comfortable to grinder to use since the diameter is smaller for a sure grip. The JX produces a brighter cup, the Q2 produces a sweeter cup. Hope this helps
@lukegenesis2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that Don! Definitely very similar to my testing also 💪 With the brighter/sweeter taste I think it comes down to the burr set but the grind consistency of both is pretty much the same, which is kudos to them for the great engineering design and production. I actually find the JX pro a bit more comfortable because it’s rubber grip. The Q2 sometimes slips on me
