I took it one step further and stuffed 3 in the pinky. Really changes the feel of the glove, i like it. The only problem is that it’s a fastback model with just a finger hole and it’s a bit of a stretch. I may try to oblong the hole and relace it around there.

You say oil / conditioner. I’ve heard glove people say that oil can build up and weigh down a glove, and therefore recommend good conditioners only. You have a preference?

Do your first base mitts come with kip palm liners?

I have used both methods over the years. I have some gloves that feel great either way you wear them, but one of my older gloves (90's A2000) only feels great wearing it standard - maybe partly due to how I broke it in. Right now, I'm trying to break in and get used to a glove for outfield going strictly 2 in the Pinky, but it has been taking a while to get it game ready. I think it comes down to preference and confidence honestly. While it may help increase the size of the pocket and make the break-in process a bit easier, I tend to be more comfortable fielding ground balls wearing my glove standard. Even in outfield charging in on a ball running along the grass or skipping off the ground, I like to feel the ball enter the glove with my hand, and you don't quite get that same response when you're 2 in the pinky and the ball just gets lost in that big pocket. FYI, just ordered a custom pro-stiff from you guys for my son. We can't wait! Maybe I'll do an unboxing video for the KZbin community. Thank you, and take care!
