Can confirm Maggie’s 22 bonaroo set was fantastic, even with the dust storm delaying doors

(one Chaifetz night 2 later) Cal's humble gratitude in that chat echoes in this 'cast. His talents and perceptions help him soldier through and he's been found super worthy. He gave me a great hug before joining his dad in Mohegan Sun last week (and Cal, Zack Burwick, your drummer was my other cool run in! Cosmic goodness in CT!,). Thanks Cam for sharing the groove with Cal. Keep the fun comin' ~0~

A very relaxed and genuine conversation which like PTF was enlightening and FUN ~o~ Reprise is fascinating to experience as they take on crazy set lists in recreating energetic past shows including the rigors of masterful vocal jams. And Cam improvises on Cal's short hops deftly and jam band shorthand gets its shrift here. Cal and I spoke for awhile after PTF Ensemble (12 musicians including Bobby's Wolfpack- strings/horns, Dead Set's "Bobby" and a stunning "Donna") performed Terrapin Station inside PTF sandwiches

The Juneau shows were special and I count myself really lucky to have seen them. At the show, Max made a funny comment about how in Juneau he would be out on a run or hike and bump into folks only to then see them at the show that night. Joe Funk commented it was the smallest venue they had played in 10 years -- but that being back in his hometown made him super nervous. An amazing two nights for sure.

The Al Gore rap was terrible. The weekend of cancelled shows night 1 3 sets on Saturday and the worst rain ever on Sunday with ankle deep water. The biggest issue is non phans bombing with bad jokes that had nothing to do with phish. Still my only Harpua… good on em but damn

Love this interview, some really great metaphysical and musical / comedic performance discussions. Just looked up some clips of Daniel playing with the Don Kelly band and it’s pretty incredible. Love when Daniel was talking about how cool it is “seeing a human summon the cosmic celestial assistance there is to their advantage to actually create a transcendent moment for people - and that’s what it’s all about” 🎶🪐
@CalmLion-ik3lt3 ай бұрын
Epic interview and totally fascinating! Love the retelling of the concert bus experience and DMB fans mutinying - “I’m just trying to play a little Ants Marching over the fuckin speaker” 😂 Also the part about Trey talking about the feedback from the audience when you play original music vs. covers is awesome. Karina seems like she’s into experiencing all types of music genres - that’s super cool 🎶🪐

I was at the Northly show in 2013 and its very funny hearing his perspective of that Harpua. For one, I had seen the Second City main stage show with my family the winter before and it took me about two minutes to realize it was a bit because I recognized them from Second City. I remember my friends were so confused and I felt like I was the only one who knew in the whole place LOL! I also do remember people booing and feeling horrible that they were bombing in front of all of Northerly. Wow! Great night regardless!
