September of 2024, my dad was diagnosed with brain cancer (glioblastoma) and given 3-4 months to live. He was in his 80’s at that time. When he found out about the diagnosis, he had a smile and said ‘I don’t care what happens to me. I know where I am going. I just feel bad for those I’m leaving behind.’ December 17th, he entered a coma. Prior to that he kept rejoicing in the Lord and every day singing ‘Soon and very soon, I am going to see the King’, eventually whispering it when he became to weak to talk. December 26th before dawn, he peacefully breathed his last and went to his eternal home to see his King. I think about him everyday and miss him tremendously. Sometimes, if it’s quiet, I think and wonder what he must be seeing and doing in heaven at this moment. In one sense, I cannot imagine and comprehend the beauty he is seeing or the joy he is feeling. One day I will see him again and I look forward to it.

As he listened he would open his eyes and say oh I am still here. I know now where he is. He is in the arms of Jesus Christ. He has been gone 15 years and my mom 10 years. Some days it seems like yesterday. But God's grace is sufficient for me. This song is a blessing to me. I call it Dad's song ..❤

my own experience as a medically disabled grown man whose life was changed after spending 5 1/2 months in the hospital after two brain surgeries to remove a large benign brain tumor. My heart is full of joy because, of the way He was able to help me through this brand new life and I believe He has been able to do what only He has done for me so I can live independently in an independent living apartment in Dallas County! Hallelujah! I can’t stop talking about Him because I am not exempt from keeping quiet. I pray that if you have experienced hardship, I believe you are obligated to be vocal about your experience. So that the Kingdom of Heaven can increase and strengthen others in your sphere of influence!

I wish i were there in that moment. But now both my parents are deceased and this whole video made me ball out in tears, heavy crying like never before. That kind heart filled gesture for Amy to give it back to him and his passion, the moment after when the standing ovation came... Balled my eyes out like it was my first time seeing this. I have had this album since 2011 when i first heard this. My heart is so full of happiness for him in these moments... This was God working.
