Hi @hahaylen, here are two things to think about: 1. Don’t get hung up on the word “original.” - You don’t need to find a completely unique topic that nobody’s ever thought of. Think about a general topic that you’re already into, then start reading about that topic. There’s a good chance you’ll come up with a cool angle as you work through the process. Also, my students often worry about their topics being boring or over done. Don’t worry about that! If you’re into the topic, your audience will be too! 2. Sometimes it helps to think about issues or situations that make you angry. Is there a problem at your school or in the world that you could come up with a solution for? That’s often a great way to get started, and those problem-solving speeches are great! Hope that helps you get started. Good luck!!

Hey, thanks for reaching out! I have some videos for judges in the pipeline that I'll be working on and posting throughout the summer. I'm always happy to hear about specific things people would like some help with. Until then, you may find some of the National Speech and Debate Association's training videos helpful. You may have to sign up for a membership if you don't have one, though. Howdy mr Paris it me Connor Hackett your old theatre student I have no way of contacting you so this is a little strange but I’m using this to say words that I could never say five years ago. as a person who moved it made me realize how spoiled I was that you truly did have a soft spot for me all the things you made me do in one act being a camera man and a support for E,B,T And etc has some one who now being home schooled. I learned that I’ll be out of school soon and will never be able to live my moments in high school ever again and soon April will come and I’ll be 18 years and have to move on to a new life a new me and honestly I’m not ready I would drive to you but I don’t know where you live yes. I have my licenses I know it’s crazy but I want to thank you truly thank you much the man that you are and keeping me in the club and doing everything in your power I could imagine the things iv said I am sorry that you had to deal. With me like that but you kept your ground now that time have pass iv aged and things are different I have no idea what was the last thing you here’d from me this is getting to long I have more to say but your a smart man I’m sure that you know what I was going to say and truly thank you.

They're putting live recordings of their plays online. So are some other big theaters, so there are a lot of great plays on KZbin right now! Just search around a little.
