This game is definitely really fun! The only real complaint I had about this game is the town building aspect (and some stuff that goes hand in hand with it) could basically be ignored until the end.

Yeah, it really is. It's such a shame that Nintendo (based on what I've heard) doesn't like them and wants to shut them down. I even got my own full list of games I'm planning on playing (if I can get them to work that is)

Maybe? I just saw it, guessed, and went for it. Yeah, at least in this loop. And for the pre-loop stuff, can't write for every player's reactions to be honest. No idea, weird space magic maybe? And that really is an interesting point too. It truly is an object never really gone, because that would have meant that the player would be dead or gone from the universe (like a game one would say). Yeah, that too. Honestly, with the higher skills its so much easier to get those achievements. Im glad you enjoyed the series though! ^~^ It was awsome to be able to be able to share it with everyone (even if I didn't get the "all skills" achievement on screen). While I do know I probably wont record/stream this again (even for the "romance" or "optional events") I still have a bunch of other games that I'm sure you'll enjoy coming up.

@@Luna-Night Yeah, it's fine if you don't record. I'd definitely recommend checking all the events you missed out on your own time though, they build up the characters more. Even the Block Argument one which it sounds like you got already. There's some sad implications there, but I need to stop talking about Yuriko so anyway... I've actually been eyeing some of your series already, I just don't have time for another one currently. I will absolutely be back.

Yep, indeed. Yeah probably? There's one little hiccup in this that might just be because of the coding situation. There *might* be a way for gnosia to target someone/guardian angel save someone and someone still goes away. *Maybe?* Or some other weird work around. I knowwww and I couldn't believe it was so sad but in this particular game, I wasn't too focused on the romance options (especially since it'll be a pain to figure out what exactly they are and all that. Hehe ;3 To be faiirrrr thoughhhhh.... (You're not wrong, but like... not everyone can have a good ending).

​@@Luna-NightWell, yeah. Though it's also a story and they can do what they want, it is more realistic, and they didn't do it to anyone that players would be outraged over. Everyone that was in a bad situation got out of it at the very least. Except for Yuriko, but while I love her, I don't see how the devs could have possibly resolved her issue within an epilogue. As long as they don't say outright what happened, it can just be what I want anyway. Also, speaking of Yuriko, and of role programming getting in the way of events, I never told you the painful story of how I got the Gnos note in my second full playthrough. In my first full one, I got it as a guardian angel with Yuriko being gnosia. No problem, I just protected her instead of crewmates and she gave the note just fine. But on my second playthrough... So, we collaborate, she's clearly gnosia, and I've gotten the note with her being gnosia before so I just act as an AC Follower. It goes well, except then it gets to the last day and she decides to kill me instead of Jonas. Needless to say I was not happy, but whatever, I guess we say the Gnos didn't want her telling and move on. Attempt 2, we collaborate again, and Yuriko get instantly voted off for no reason. Wasn't even a bad role. The crew just decided they didn't like her that day. Attempt 3, I'm being a good Engineer, finding Gnosia and clearing otherwise suspected people, eventually I decide to scan Yuriko since we're close to the end now. She's the Bug, and because 2 people died that night we lose to the Gnosia. Attempt 4, it's the next loop, and this time I scan her day 1. She's the freaking Bug again. Attempt 5, I have turned off the Bug and become a Guardian Angel. I get eliminated close to the end. Attempt 6, I'm back to Engineer. I scan Yuriko day 1, and, believe it or not, she the Bug AGAIN. Attempt 7, Yuriko collaborates day 3 instead of day 1, and by then I have already removed the Bug. And then I die. Attempt 8, I'm Crew and Yuriko gets eliminated instantly. Attempt 9, I'm Guardian Angel and there's only 9 people and 2 Gnosia, no Bugs or ACs. We get both Gnosia right away and FINALLY, after 9 attempts, I get the note. Yeah, that was a journey and a half. I was especially baffled because, like I said, I got the note very easily the first time. Made for a funny story at least.

Yeah, I fully agree on the with the fact that if people are more likely to view them as bad would more likely get a bad ending. Gives people a more satisfying ending. And geez that sounds like a pain and a half.

Yeah I was glad it went smoothly. I always get surprised when gnosia remove the non-gnosia role when someone else on their team claimed it. After a certain point it's just like *please* game, just give me what I'm looking for. Quite frankly, that would be me hahaha. When it came up I definitely wasn't expecting it so I had to do the double take to make sure I saw correctly. Yeah, it was fairly messed up. I don't really have much experience with that topic either, but it's still a bit much. Ending wise, yeah I haven't seen too much of them. But you're in the final stretch now! Just one more :3

Yeeaaaahhh, for the most part though, it's basically just a shot in the dark but with Setsu not saying Stella was Gnosia pretty much confirmed that Stella was an engineer or AC follower. The event was certainly adorable. SQ is such a pain to deal with since she's less tactical with her betrayals. At least when Raqio betrays the player, there's already a lot of sus on them. She just makes me wish she didn't work like that. Sometimes it happens that luck just doesn't show up for the events. It is always super fun to see some of the few rarer events too.

@@Luna-Night Yeah, as someone that mostly plays as gnosia or engineer, gnosia SQ is not someone I have a lot of patience left for at all. Other characters usually do the betrayal when you're already screwed, yeah, but SQ will turn on people using criteria I'm not sure on that usually just end up being other gnosia. I guess maybe she can't determine which crewmate is suspicious so she just goes for people she can tell are suspicious due to being one of them? It's weird.

No idea, I wish I knew how to look at the games code to give a better insight to that.

@@Luna-Night I did manage to decrypt the game to at least an extent, but I have no idea what anything written in there means so it's not very helpful. Other people have made mods though so you could probably find something out from them. The GNOSIA Reddit in particular might have something. I managed to find every png and audio asset on there, and I know other people HAVE found stuff in the code, like removed lines, removed events, stats...

Well that's certainly interesting and honestly not that surprised that those exist.

Yeah, it was great. (And quite frankly it was quite a turn of events what they use that information for later) Honestly? That wouldn't surprise me. I was surprised I hadn't gotten that particular Stella scene until later onto the video (though maybe some side scenes I may have missed, I'll never know). She's just a precious child (in an endearing way) that I just want to protect with my life.

Yeah, it certainly is a nice confirmation on some things. Maybe? Jonas' word choice has always been certainly.... unique to say the least. It's not surprising *why* he would lie about her though. Yeah, it was rough. That would be interesting if that was actually true. It could add an underlying element to certain relationships. Huh, that would be interesting to think about. I always assumed it would just be her and her alone with no double (since it was never explained). I imagine that anyone not in the loops were never on the ship in the first place. There probably are loops with no player as well, but we can't visit because we weren't there on day 0 (for reasons that should be obvious later on). Though, if she was eliminated before she entered the ship, she wouldn't have gotten the key in the first place, she would've had to been eliminated on day 0 like us. Maybe, at least of course.

@@Luna-Night Jonas implies the DQO gang are the only survivors in the entire Liu-An system, so anyone not on the ship is likely just dead. Or they never went to Liu-An. They'd still exist though, at the very least Remnan has to for, you know, reasons. And Jonas and Kukrushka are outright mentioned. The Setsu getting the Key would be a different one from the Setsu getting eliminated before the loop's default starting point though, right? The Player isn't getting revived at the start, just taking the place of another Player. The other one's in the Gnos still. We already know the universe won't throw a fit about overlapping consciousness as long as the body is different, and the Gnos share a consciousness anyway. Setsu would get their Key in their original universe, and the Player's Key in Player's exit loop. From there it doesn't really matter if or not they made it on the ship in other universes, as the Key is firmly attached already, and the paralel universes keep existing after the main characters leave them. No solution seems perfect, though, as yes, even if the Key or the universe itself did some work brainwashing everyone, at least Yuriko would be concerned with why Setsu is suddenly there. But then why is she only calling the Player unnatural? Does she do it in private with Setsu but for some reason in public with the Player? Is she only concerned with the cosmic mistake bit and using the rest as an excuse? It doesn't actually matter, but since I'm making an AU that expands on everything, I kinda need to think about stuff like that. My AU does have its own system for the Key in the first place though.

Those are some really good points! I think the main reason that Yuriko calls the player unnatural is because of what happened to the player on day 0, meaning that we shouldn't be walking around like we are. Setsu on the other hand, doesn't have that issue, there's only ever one of her - meaning Yuriko might not be able to realize that she's different.

I'm glad this helped out! Usually the description (+ me *usually* going over the content warnings in the beginning of each episode) can help decipher what episode is for what chapter. I think each chapter is usually about 3-5 episodes of gameplay too?

Yeah, high enough persuasion-based skills definitely helped with that. Gina has always been one of my personal favorite friend characters because I always relate to her always wanting to do good, even when I'm supposed to be "bad". Remnan certainly has the roughest events and moments. Yeah, pretty ironic honestly, with both of them being gnosia. Though, I imagine you're talking about seeing Jonas being frozen? That happened to me in my personal run too.

​@@Luna-Night I was talking about both getting definitely enemy'd. Raqio and SQ always seem at to be at eachother's throats when they're both gnosia, honestly. So I don't even think them wanting to freeze her is that out of character despite it not being scripted. SQ especially always seems to want Raqio gone. When I was still relearning the game I got myself frozen because she nearly got frozen in one round, got saved by me and Raqio, and then proceeded to spend the next day doubting Raqio even as they continued to defend her. I was so baffled I ended up defending Raqio too hard, which Setsu saw. Was kinda Raqio's fault too as if they didn't give me another target I would have killed Setsu that night.

Ah yeah, that does make sense.

I know, the irony. Yeah, after a certain point it gets a little convoluted with keeping track between good engineers and bad engineers. It's sometimes hard to register in the moment "oh yeah, that mean this person's bad" unless you really think about it for 10 minutes (which I don't often do in this game, I just breeze through the dialogue until something new shows up). Yeah, all of Kukrushka's events are just "yeah, never trust her with my life". So many spooky bad ends. I did trip up a few times, but thankfully it didn't take *too* long*. I just never like playing as an AC follower, too many unknown variables and I hate it. Hahah. It was pretty funny to see, for sure. I guess it's just in their programming though? Where if they aren't as likely to get away with a lie, then they just won't say anything. Better to say nothing then a lie since it won't trigger as much of a reaction (besides from the player - I think at least anyways)

​​​@@Luna-Night I don't know anyone that actually likes being an AC follower. It's a fun concept, and I don't even dislike the idea of not knowing who the gnosia is, but I think maybe if the gnosia AI were more trained to actually work with the ACs it could work out better. Maybe you could even try your luck and reveal yourself to a person and see how they react. And the gnosia could maybe try the same. Not like one person claiming you confessed to them would be enough to freeze you. We know how Yuriko is already. Even though people are extremely unlikely to actually catch her lying (with her max stats, only Comet can, and with lower stats sometimes Remnan can too) and even if they did she could just turn their accusation around, she won't say it most of the time. Even is she's human. SQ is the same, which ended up being helpful. Jonas I think will usually not say it specifically as gnosia. He could also absolutely get away with a lie with his performance, but I guess he doesn't realise that. And Chipie actually has something to worry about in regard to lying, unlike the rest of them, and his stealth IS somewhat higher than his performance. As for saying or not saying it, I think not saying it does decrease trust, but probably less if there were more people doing it, and if people super trusted you they'll brush it off. I also think people with higher stealth tend to get away with it a bit more, though if they're the only one they're likely to still have issues since their trust just went down and everyone else's didn't. I have no idea, I'm just speculating.

I fully agree that the AC follow is fun *in concept* but without the gnosia willing to reach out (or vice versa) to confirm suspicions with them always throwing the blame on you, makes the role not as fun. Yeah, it's hard to say for sure without looking at the code.

Yeah I know right? It's all the same timeline just happening at different points at time. If I could easily put it into text it'll be something like the following (if it formats correctly) Y -> Setsu's timeline / \ X - A - - - - Z -> Our timeline A = Us "waking" up / loop 1 X = day 0 events (not gonna spoil it) Y = We save setsu Z = Us getting saved / getting the powers to loop I'm sure she was surprised it was just information alone rather that having go through the actual act and I'm sure they would just forget I exist, as if I wasn't even there in the first place (just like a certain body/person we know). The Kukrushka was definitely a big surprise. I'm... honestly not surprised that he would call her that. It sorta shows his true character and feelings to Kukrushka - just an object for his entertainment. It can also be a play and literature comment on modern day with how older folks can sometimes struggle with people transitioning, choosing to be they/them, and other similar situations (probably worded this poorly but, it's the best way I could describe it).

@@Luna-Night I'll get into my full timeline thoughts once we get to the finale cause I don't wanna spoil it for others either. And yeah, Jonas is not great. In Japanese he actually starts the game by being bad to Kukrushka too. Instead of the "speech is golden, but silence is golden... er." he apparently says something about women being better when silent. So I've heard, anyway. Very possible! Especially with how much identity seems to be a theme in this game. There is also another small moment that ties to your idea a bit. In the event with Setsu, Chipie and Shigemichi, Shige talks about people messing with their bodies creeping him out. In Japanese, it's stated Setsu doesn't have a sex. So they had bottom surgery at the very least and he's saying that. Can't imagine it's intentional on his part, just interesting that they chose those 3 characters for that event.

Oh god, that's awful. I knew he creeped me out a bit, but I did realize he was *that* bad. It's nice that it's small events like that, that can help talk about situations in a (mostly) light hearted way, even if the connotation might be on the more negative side based on interpretation.

How fellow gnoisa thank you is always pretty funny with that context. That series of event was just sort of unfortunate, especially with no one clearly being narrowed down. I was just screwed. It's always a super fun little game thing. I did get the trigger for it once before, but failed to keep Gina alive for the event to trigger. I always loved Gina's events too because even when she's bad, she's good.

Yeah, I certainly agree that this is basically the turning point for the last handful of events. (For me, only 33 episodes!) That would certainly make sense if she was worried for that reason.

Sometimes its better not to question the weird logic, especially since gnosia cant defeat bugs normally. It's certainly a strange event to say for sure though... Yeah, Raqio is a weird person. You have to answer the questions right to get the events/skills but they like you less for doing so because they think the main character is dumb (sometimes we the players are, but I digress...) She's only strong because she they feel bad for her, sorta similar to Otome. Yeah... yeah... one of the stranger covers I remember and seen from this series.

Honestly, it's a lot of reading between the lines of how to interpret Remnan. Remnan is an interesting but weird character. Ironically, for my first time playing this I went for high Intuition/charisma/charm with logic following behind and preformance/stealth last. Even though I preferred doing gnosia runs. It was rough. (Though I can't argue about liking sha-ming, I just have a certain character type I like...) It's definitely nice to be on the non-gnosia side when that event happens. It's just funny. Yeah I guess you could be right about that as sometimes a story just has to say "yeah this person is bad" and leave it that. I honestly never noticed that, that's cool!

Yeah, I chuckled at it the first time around when I played it through personally. It was such a bizarre seeing it twice for a double gnosia hit too.

Did Setsu say he fell out in his own and everyone just didn't question it in an environment with murderers?

The nuances between the romances are always kinda hard, but I honestly have a personal fav that I would've romanced if I could've but not in this route. I actually finished the game today! (Though the videos won't go up for much later, hehe) I definitely like the *idea* of trying to see the different romances, but I also know that it'll be so hard to try and do. I'm mostly leaving it up to others to discover. ^~^

@@Luna-Night I can link a playlist that has all character events. It's a video per character, so you can easily find the romance stuff, as well as anything else you missed. I actually haven't gotten most of the romances myself. In fact I only got Comet and Sha-Ming personally, even though I had a guide. I tried for the other two, but with SQ I won too quickly and with Remnan I tried, failed and decided I'd get it another time. I've seen the Stella scenes because most of the youtubers I've watched were male, but none of them got the full Gina romance bc it's so complicated. And for some reason I never got around to it. I really should. Same with Remnan. I've seen the SQ one a few times also through youtubers. I'll probably wait for you to watch the events on your own time before talking about them though. Spoilers and all that.

For the "class" specific achievements I still have yet to get (already up vs scheduled to be) is the solo gnosia one ("lonely battle"), human with 6 gnosia ("hero"), and saying your role as an AC follower ("loyal servant") - I know those will come up eventually if I just play long enough / if I try those in my free time. For the skills, I've actually gotten them all (or I believe I have done so) in my personal run before doing this ~ I know plenty of them come up as you unlock more interactions or story beats with people. There are two secret achievements and 6 people to fully flesh out their special items left to unlock of what I have played through so far.

@@Luna-Night One secret one you'll get in the playthrough, it's just secret for spoiler reasons. The second you'll get for the True Ending. For skills, there are some that don't tie to a note, and aren't super likely to happen the way that Allacosia for example is. Freeze All and Block Argument are the most notorious ones. Freeze is from a Raqio quiz, and requires there to be a lot of claimers on a role, a Bug active, and Raqio to not be one of those claimers. Block Argument requires 40 charisma, and potentially also a high relationship with two characters, but that's just what people say. It didn't take me too long once I got to 40 charisma from what I remember.

Honestly, I want to discover the gender neutral ones as I go along as those are ones that I can actually discover in this route. Some of those definitely don't sound... super appealing, but I always was a sucker for Sha-Ming's survival instincts.

@@Luna-Night Fair! If you do end up missing them you can just find them on yt anyway. It'd say look up the ones you can't get, but actually I think all of them contain spoilers. Maybe not the Gina one but I'd have to double check. As for Sha-Ming, yeah, I don't have a big problem with him either. I can see why people do, in real life I would probably never fully trust him after he got creepy to me, but in a video game I've got the security of knowing his exact limits so I don't care that much. I think he's a fun character. I feel bad for how generally neglected he is compared to most characters. He has the least amount of notes, and is the only romance option without a confession OR romance-related CG. Comet at least gets an edit of another CG, and everyone else gets actual proper ones, but nah, Sha-Ming doesn't need one, I guess.

@@Luna-Night Got the event yesterday! I did it through the doctor method though. It's interesting to see how the game starts to break when the logic is wrong. Remnan was the fake doctor, and there were times where like 3 people caught him lying, but couldn't actually vote for him because definite human. (I did this on my postgame save, so everyone was maxed out) As for this event, it's a fun way to include a failsafe in the case of broken logic. Kinda wish there was an achievement for it, honestly.
