Just discovered the whole compilation. It's surprising that how often KZbin puts the music/album on your feed that suits you just perfectly and you're not even heard of that music/album name for your whole life.

This song is about the passage of time, and the realization that everything is effected by death. If you listen to the rhythm, it sounds like a ticking clock. Also the steady rhythm could represent a heartbeat, and symbolize how much time a person has left. The whole song seems hopeless at first, like death always happens and there is nothing we can do to change it, but it has the best redeeming quality at the end when Thom says “Immerse your soul in love”. Basically he’s saying that life is too short to live in hate, and that we need to make the most of each moment by loving each other.

I used to LOVE randomly buying these kinds of compilations! Not really knowing any of the artists, and finding some great gems

I’ve only ever been able to find this on cd, nothing I’ve seen has shown any promise of this being pressed on vinyl but if anybody out there has one I would do a multitude of things to obtain it lol

When I heard this song for the first time a few months ago, it felt so nostalgic... It still does. I'm only sad that it took so long for it come into my life, but it came at a the right time. This song is powerful. What a masterpiece.

Haven’t heard this session in so long. Just found your channel. My holy grail song but she hasn’t played this since the Mirrorball tour which I missed.

Been a fan since 95 but never heard Elsewhere like this. It’s one of my favorite songs. So glad I’ve heard it live over the past several years. Thank you so much.
