Hi!! Not sure if you’ll even see this. I was wondering is it safe to use the invocation to the elements in this book? I know magickal practitioners cast a circle first but here it’s not suggested. I am in no doubt about the Magick in this book. I’ve only heard of many success stories but I have made a few mistakes in the past & I’m trying to be responsible about how to approach certain practices. When u call on the elements can any other spirit come through ? Thanks for help in advance

My mom is Creole. Both my parents were born and raised in Louisiana, as their parents and their parent’s parents… I love that deck, but there art work was done by Sally Glassman, a Jewish white woman who moved to New Orleans and became a vegan voodoo priestess. I’m not hating. Just saying I wish we had a deck that wasn’t from the white gaze. That’s all. I am a writer and have been called to write about the Creole people. I’m looking forward to the day when I can promote my novel.

It is definitely fantasy as used in the film. It cannot be "weaponized" in that way. We can definitely use anchor words to condition for automatic responses - the "SLEEP" command of course being the most well-known probably due to stage hypnosis shows - but you cannot "bind" someone and control them with your words. Even if in many, many sessions you have learned to respond in a certain way to an anchor word, once you are fully conscious you will only respond to it if you choose to. You may FEEL an automatic response to the word (like hearing the word SLEEP in a certain way could cause you to feel relaxed when you hear it outside the session), but if you want to resist it you will very easily be able to do so.

So here is the information I was TRYING to recall unsuccessfully...There are some incredible telesummit recordings of Tarot experts discussing their favorite Tarot cards and topics, hosted by Kim Wilborn of Guardian Gateway. The telesummit talk I am referencing here is a discussion of the Twos in Tarot, hosted by Kim Wilborn with guest speaker Art Rosengarten. It is really wonderful, and to me, not just resonates with the Tarot but any area in your life where "two-ness" lends its energy. Really great topic. I have been a yoyo person with my weight my whole adult life. Some years I’m super in shape, some years I’m plus 20kg. It has been like this for 20 years 🙈 I love working out but I also love bad food and drinks. I think for me the biggest fear is that I will never be able to hold the weight of. I mean like fear of failing..again.

Yes our foods and drinks are designed to be highly addictive and emotionally satisfying (short term), so it's totally normal to crave them. And it's important to know that you can not fail unless you permanently give up! Otherwise, it's always a process! :-)

😭🙏🏼. This is my current personal struggle. I have an unhealthy relationship with both nutrition and exercise. I may have even developed a sugar addiction. I over indulge endlessly some days. I also know that my social environment plays a huge role in my poor habits. Which sets off a rollercoaster of mood swings. It’s exhausting and I end up punishing myself. Truth. I’m interested in a hypnosis consultation.

Hi Maia, What your going through is so normal. Not only is it common to develop an adversarial relationship towards our own healthy state thanks to our culture, but we also use food to deal with our emotions. We get a lot of (temporary) pleasure and peace from food. Of course, these feelings don't last and are often worn away by weight gain and the general uncomfortable feelings that come with over indulging. The good news is that you can beat it once you know how your mind works and its role in your eating habits!

Oh wow. I really admire the attitude of wanting to study and prepare! I could have never been able to not rip the package open on a new deck! 😅 it would have looked beatiful on the beach. In my opinion, to read the charts you will need to either have some education in astrology or will need someone else who does to interpret.

It has a lot of other esoteric info, like horoscopes, auspicious dates, talismans and sigils for power, moon phase meanings, Tarot meanings, Lenormand meanings, elements, color correspondences, palm reading and more. It's definitely an amazing planner, and the charts are just a bonus!
