Before all that we need 1. Good violin 2. Good Bow 3. Well rosined Bow. 4. Correct tuning of 4 strings Sol Re LA Mi. 5. Stable violin hold with chin rest and shoulder rest 6.stsrt slow use ear listening for exact intonation. Repeat... Young people can practice long hours with a bteak. Old people need shorter practice and make sure not to overstrain the left hand thumb.

You have a wonderful way of teaching! I’m not sure who your primary audience is… but a few ideas: 1. Critical listening is obviously the foundation of improving anything. What does that mean? Ultimately it’s about feeling vibration. The perfect ring is vibrational resonance. People can learn to feel this… even if they’ve never played an instrument before ( I’d imagine this is at least a portion of your audience). Keep up the great work and thanks!! I played semi professionally and got my masters in violin performance, before going into teaching tennis :) I still play the violin, and its channels like yours that inspire me to take it out of its case and enjoy making music
@ye-jinhan26 күн бұрын
Yes, critical listening comes with listening for the vibration of the sound, the perfect resonance it gives when you play in tune. It may be developed with the teacher's keen guidance, but once you experience it, it gives you satisfaction, and you'll keep looking for that fine tune! I'm so happy that you found my channel, and it makes you pick up the violin again and enjoy making music! Happy practicing! :)

Nobody talks of violin... Best position . Chin rest and shoulder rest. If violikn is not sitting well on the left shoulder left hand will not be free to shift and do other skills like vibrato. Starting point holding the violin.

the bow is a constant problem i’ve been having, but my pinky finger is kinda double jointed… anyone i need advice!! 😭😨
@ye-jinhanАй бұрын
Ah.. That must be frustrating! I would try to exercise the pinky muscle separately without the bow first to see if you can still be flexible with the bow? Start by trying to be gentle with the pinky and not to automatically push the bow when you get to the frog. As long as your bow grip is not tight, it doesn’t have to be a big problem. :)
