I love your content and just how high quality it is, i discovered you through your vib ribbon video, and man these a good. As for the game, im not personally religious myself, but a horror based sequal would actually sounds cool (if i didnt have anxiety i would probably play it, but ill just stick to the videos of it)

This video makes me think of all the Trackmania videos KZbin keeps recommending me, where creators have been making tracks with ridiculous or even troll shortcuts. Maybe that's where this spirit lives on today?

i tried Lego 2k drive while it was free before and it was so much worse than the old racers game because of modern game trash, it made me sad

15:16 The problem is not puzzles that need online support. The problem are people incapable to solve puzzles. Today a game that needs you to use your brain gets called "a brainia". And nobody is intelligent enough to catch the joke is on them? "Oh boy. I need to think. Better call this genre something with brain in it so people can be warned!" I remember when online was not a thing and hotlines were not cheap. Most people solved the games. There was no rush to solve a game within one week or whatever. Today people are rushing the games to play the next game on the list and to check it off. They hunt trophies and once the final trophy has been achieved the game sits there in oblivion. Your generation is just a bad generation in gaming. Constant rush. Trophy hunting. I won't call it madness. It is just sad. How many people saying: "Git gud scrub", only so because they played with a guide open the entire time when others play the games the normal way? You are not normal anymore.

Mod Nation Racers on the PS3 (Made by Media Molecule - Little Big Planet) had an incredibly similar item system to Lego Racers, check it out. Alongside its track creator it is a LOT of fun.

Crash Team Racing is the closest thing to a competition with MK but Activision is not supporting it anymore. It's mechanic are unique and extremely fun.

Metroidvania itself is a badly chosen term not describing a genre as such. But now metroidbrania? You kids make up your own terms for genres and categories. But you complain when other people do not understand you and have no means to communicate with you. What do you make of genres like action adventure? I get it. You are not old enough to understand actual genre descriptors. Too bad.

Acctually really amazing video and very well described. You found a way to caracterize the achievments in a very objectiv and interesting way. I do have a question though, when you are trying to 100% a game, and there's a type 7 achievement then you look it up on the internet right? not saying it's necesserely bad but no one is probably going to get every collectible there is by chance, at some point you will have to look up where something is because the alternative is roaming around the world trying to find a needle in a haystack. Another one is the type 2 achievement. In the example you gave you had to pick up a sheep and put it on a campfire or something, if I did that I would be really happy for finding out something unique, but if I dind't found out about that sheep and the achievement name for it is "black sheep" I don't think I would ever get that from messing around and I would have to look it up.

Why couldn't a Lego Racing style game be made using all sets, including licensed sets? Could be huge. And it advertises the sets and celebrates all sets through history. Could still have car building and character building. Harry Potter set themed tracks, all sorts, would be great.

I knew Lego racers was special, but I never could put my finger on why. This explains it. It’s because of the characters. The people. The personality. It felt real, which is why it’s still so amazing to this day. Nothing is more important than personality

One of my favorite games of all time. Playing on an old CRT I couldn't beat Basil because my tv wasn't bright enough and the lighting around it always messed up my visibility. Played at night and actually got the chance to win 🤣

Walt Disney’s World Quest: Magical Racing Tour was one of the greatest kart racers that wasn’t Mario Kart. Personally I believe it is actually the best kart racer that isn’t Mario Kart. You need to do a video on it!!!

I like that this video brought to my attention Lego Racers. As a DKR fan, I'm definitely going to put some time into this racer. A nitpick though, the title. I mostly clicked on the video from the perspective of "the title is clearly wrong/impossible", and I'm presented with a 22min video which talks in large about things I already know... so to get to the chase, is the claim LITERALLY that because the Lego company won't take risks in the same way, we won't get games like it from them anymore? If so, that's lame and way too clickbaity IMO. Otherwise, where/when is the case made?
