I hope it’s not too late for you to see this question. This is the first time one of your videos appeared in my KZbin feed. Does your LED light have a true sunlight quality setting? The one I’m using gives me full sunlight & therefore the true colors of my tying materials. However, I can’t replace it once the bulb burns out, & when that happens, I would like to replace it with an LED lamp that has a sunlight option & will reduce. the heat my current light gives off. If your light does give true sunlight, does it seem to have any effect on your UV resins? Most UV resin manufacturers say their resin will cure in sunlight. Thanks for sharing this information. It gives me a place to start looking for a replacement.

This light has like 4 different light settings. It doesn't give off any heat, nor does it effect my uv resin. I've been using it for about 4 years now and love it.

@@myersfliesflyfishing3842 Thank you for the reply. Is one of the settings for full-spectrum light, often called a “sunlight” setting on LED lights?

Just going to add some details... The "cheap lamp" version are usually 395nm wave length. It's better to use a 365nm as it will cure faster, some folks reported less tackiness of their resins on the finish product. The second thing is the actual "Power" there are a lot of misleading rating when it comes to the power of the lamp you find. The most overlooked item is safety, the wavelength is quite armful, your skin is one thing but your eyes would get a lot more exposure than you think. There are specific glasses protection for wave length between 300 and 400.

Hello Mr Myers! Reckon we're kin? Not likely. At any rate, I haven't watched all of your videos yet so forgive me if this question is answered in some of them...but what sort of UV cure resins will that snake light UV black light cure? Have you come across any that it won't cure properly? Awesome information by the way!

Hi Charlie, I have used Solarez and Loon with equal success. It cures very nicely. These are the only ones I've tried but because if the intense uv light and the fact that it's powered by the wall outlet and not relying on battery...it feel it should do well with various types of UV. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching .

Great video!!! I took awhile to figure out the switching flies part lmao for the longest time I lived and died by the squirm worm 😂😂😂😂 Wichita isn't such a bad thing I guess but once I started to actually switch up my flies, I became much more efficient!

@@myersfliesflyfishing3842 If you need some help getting your new youtube out there, I can definitely help spread the word! I'll give your channel a shout on my next video. Tight lines buddy, and let me know if you ever want to hookup and flyfish. Starting to get more into it, and it's been quite interesting. Me and Wolly Bugged are trying to plan a trip! If you don't know Wolly Bugged's youtube channel, he's a very well known fly fishing youtuber in the area and lives right in Lancaster. Really look forward to the trip, but sadly until this weather calmes down, don't think Ill be fishing anytime soon lol.
