Why didn't you just remove both of the extension springs entirely? There are a bunch of YT videos that show how to replace the springs entirely. Couldn't that same process have been used to release the spring tension so that you could more safely replace the bad panel?

what did you use for lumber? Please show us how you fabricated the replacement panel as well.

A detached bumper without showing where to locate the clips & screws will not help. You could have do e a step by step video or pics to show how you removed the bumper.

if this is your home don't be cheap escape, you doing it yourself and saving money why would you not replace all the panels and get rid of wood doors with steel door panel

Hello @mashed50 I was just finishing watching your vid since its the only one I can find that is as close in similarity of structural support and design for the bumper in the 2014-15 lexus is. out of curiosity..... will the tools needed also be the same used for both cars? (i.e. 10mm short and deep sockets, wratchet, small pry ect). reason I ask is cause my cousin accidentally pulled one corner of the bumper at a parking lot with a parking bump stop with a rebar sticking out and now has that corner near the wheel well drooping down a lil. I tried to see if by hand I can slip it back on but its resisting and seems that the better course of action is to drop the bumper down and check for bent support rods and after, in a sense, reset and install back on again. im looking to help him put it back as close and flush as possible...... suggestions?

Why did you take the entire computer apart when you could have just removed bezel unscrewed frame and replaced the screen? Is there an advantage to disassembling the entire thing? Does it outweigh the risk of accidentally damaging components/connectors while removing them?

I appreciate the video, just upgraded from the 1600x900 screen to the 1920x1080 screen for 35 bucks.

that is the tricky one. you have to angle it in and make sure it's seated right before taping it down.

Those the video cable click on to the back of the screen or do you just place it on the right spote and tape it down?

You're right about the clean up, but it sure was fun. I was completely covered including a full face shield. I had no one to help me and I threw most of the pieces out the window! Soooo much easier than trying to hoof this down a flight of stairs. Enjoy, but be safe!
