This, until today remains as to be "THE" version of Deseclo's Prelude, Cadence et Finale. An interpretation without any compromise, really challenging if listening to the cadenza and the risks he took there. Don't know any similar interpretation to consider, but.....let's see and listen. Life goes on, the world is still turning 😊.

This take is so much better than the other one. They're both amazing, and you should listen to both back to back, with this one last. The slower tempo really lets them breathe. Absolute magic.
@unclepadre89144 жыл бұрын
I thought he took this piece a little too fast. I feel like this is a really amazing piece that needs to be taken a little slower than the marked tempo to really express the beauty in it. Don't get me wrong I think he did great, he just made the mistake a lot of people make when playing this piece, they take it too fast which just takes away a lot of the beauty of the piece. He does have some awesome vibrato and articulation though. That altissimo G was amazing too, usually I need to squeak it out a few times before I actually get the note out.

I've had some issues with that as well, I've been adding low b flat key and I think it's a bit more stable.
@unclepadre89144 жыл бұрын
Henry Jenkins Thanks for letting me know! I’m noticing a huge difference adding in that key

@@unclepadre8914 Glad to hear it! Alt G has got to be the most inconsistent altissimo note, hands down; it's so frustrating to work with.

@Bob-hv6dy5 жыл бұрын
Seamus Ronan it’s not a edit. Usually what happens is that when the record is scratched or damaged they kinda blip.
@seamusronan56335 жыл бұрын
@@Bob-hv6dy Ahh I gotcha, it just raised an eyebrow because the reverbs sound like they don't match up super well between the last chord and the next attack of the piano. I know in modern classical music recordings there is a large amount of editing that goes down, so it made me curious about if the standards were different back when this was recorded and edited.

Piano KILLING IT! That was so tastefully done the way he fills those “spaces in places” The entire band was Killing It, but the piano really done it for me. A lot of young, “wet behind-the-ears” keyboard players could learn a lot listening to this.
