Can I pay you to make tabs of this 😂😂
@louisplett Жыл бұрын
I haven't read or written tabs for quite awhile. I tend to learn things by ear. But if there's a section of the song you need clarification on what the chord shapes are I could write those out for you
@danitafrazier5632 ай бұрын
@@louisplettI would like clarification on the shapes. I desire to play this. I believe it is I n the key of D major.

This could be a long topic for a comment, but I threw away my capo years ago. Not that I judge any one who uses one. I get the play with the open strings sounds beautiful in the recordings, but the third time I put my capo on the wrong fret in a live service I decided - Never again!. My playing skill developed so much the year after that from finding ways to capture the feeling of a song and changing keys on the fly without the capo... Yes, the trade-off is that some songs you can't play exactly like the recording, but with today's technology, what can you bring to a worship service (musically) that is better than adding the guitar track? - same goes for all the instruments. I've seen churches have services with the singers and a drummer and the rest is tracks from the original recording, and it sounds fantastic. Still the best worship I've experienced is with a full band and only a clicker.

Ah yes, the capo. I know some see it as a crutch, but I see it as a creative tool that opens up new sounds and voicings on a guitar. Similar to using alternate tunings. So many great songs have been written with it. I don't think there's a wrong or right answer though. So if you found that not using a capo has forced you to learn things in new ways, that is also valid.

@@louisplett BTW - I just discovered your channel while browsing to see how people are playing "Send Me" and I enjoy your content. Please be encouraged to keep posting more and more worship guitar tutorials. Your transctiptions are flawless!
@louisplett2 жыл бұрын
@@unodeldim3610 Thanks for stopping by! Send Me was the first video I ever made, and it was purely because I couldn't find anything on KZbin about how to play that song. I don't think I played it "correctly", but my weird partial capo method kinda worked anyway. I'm hoping to upload more, but only if I find songs that don't have many good tutorials already, or I'm doing something different enough to be worth sharing.

This is in standard tuning, but I'm playing in the key of A with a partial capo, leaving the low A string ringing. I know its not the correct way, but its what I came up with hahah
