I can’t express how good Ultrasonic is. My last two mixes have it between every single non linear plugin in the mix. When you see how much inaudible high frequency build up there is, you start to realize that this is the entire reason it’s so difficult to get a really smooth silky high end on your mix. With this thing in it opens up everything in a way that sounds super smooth and natural. Your effects sound more open and natural and you can push the highs a more without being harsh.

I'm learning Infrasonic watching this video and I've notices that there's a GUI difference. There is no Dectection/Filtered Energy Factor in the right-click sub-menu. Not it is at right side of those little harmonics red buttons and it's called "energy". Really cool!

TDR is Ace and so sciencey. But I do miss my Waves Console Cartoons. Seriously though, addressing oversampling and inter-modulation issues definitely helps with ATMOS and ambisonic mixing. Essential kit this. Thank you Dan.

@@TokyoDawnRecords I figured that, just a clarification, no bad intentions. Would it be possible to have the high frequency limiter of LimiterN6GE in a separate plugin? Many people use it because it is very good and I think it is the only one with those options. Maybe have all the modules separated into plugins. I don't know if Arbiter could work as a limiter with relative threshold. I wish you much success.

Yes, indirectly. Just add two plots, one PEAK, the other RMS, adjust colours/style to highlight the crest to your taste.

Doesn't it make more sense to put ultrasonic before each nonlinear process instead of after? Reason being, if you have ultrasonic content and don't want it to intermodulate with the audible band then doesn't it make sense to filter it out before that process occurs? I understand that most signals, prior to being distorted, don't have high levels of ultrasonic frequencies but it seems like one could get the utmost clarity by filtering first anyway.

I want solo and steep filters, and I'd use this as my go to track EQ even. Well, a knob for serial/parallel operation would truly round it off. It would become a literal must have for every plugin user on the planet with those feature (imho). The thing is, I adore this console style of EQ plugin where all band knobs are visible at once. But I can't find one that can do what Pro Q3 can, even in say a much smaller 5 band version. Ok, it's parallel, but I have Nova GE for that and dynamics are optional, so.....I love Pro Q 3 and always go back to it, but I struggle ergonomically with it to this day because of the "find the band to see the knobs" approach and the amount of times it has auto created the wrong filter. Not showstoppers, but just slows workflow for me and hence I keep trying to find an EQ like this. Empirical Big Freq was close, but no auto gain. No way. Please someone, release a plugin like this, but with filter slopes up to *at least* 48 and a solo function, and of course, the auto gain which is something that every EQ plugin should have and a big UP to TDR for that feature as they realise how important it is themselves.

Is it possible to read the note tone on Prism? I could see the frequency on the cursor but we can't see any note reference unless we can remember all of them by frequencies... BTW, I am definitely NOT complaining...

That's fantastic. I put off watching this for a while, since it's a little over 40 minutes, but the Prism tutorial is great. I typically have issues identifying a bell sound I get from my acoustic guitar, since I play in different open tunings for just about every song. This should really be quite useful for helping to zero in on that and other significant tones I'm looking to locate. Many thanks.

Question. All those sub frequencies below 10-20 Hz that shows up on every freq graph? Are they the result of graphing errors or do they actually exist and hog up bandwidth + muddy the audio?

I'm allways wondering, why I can't hear the slightest difference between compressed and not compressed. Without this ability it is neither usefull nor comprehensible, what to do anyway. Might it be possible, that such things are only for high professional producers with supersonic ears?

The Kotelnikov series is built to modify the dynamics properties of a signal (make it denser, lift low level sections) as transparently as possible. This is particularly important when processing the master bus, as typical during mastering. Note however that Kotelnikov is extremely effective at increasing density measurably, but will try anything it can to preserve the original balance/intention of a mix. Kotelnikov by default won't creatively reshape a bass kick or snare track, it assumes everything's fine already, with you only looking to change its density. It can be fast, though. If you want. In this case make sure to keep PEAK release as fast as possible, and the RMS release moderate to fast. Make sure to understand the role of PEAK CREST in all of this, consider using a very low PEAK CREST, or set it either full left or full right for more creative compression results. The GE has a YIN/YANG function, which, paired with fast timing settings, can create a lot of crunch/texture.

I thought buying the sonible suite would save me time, and let me just make music 🎶? Its just not flexible enough to get the specific tonality expressed for me. I found logic stock compression, saturation, eqs just as relevant with Sonible unfortunately. But, now Kiive was intoxicating me, and IK medias suite as well, then I said hell with it, I'll just get Fab Filters package... Then Dan pops up, and clearly cleans the floor with them all, even Fab... I prefer the sound of this frequency articulator... Thanks To Tokyo Dawn, and Dan Worell, sincery a muscial frequency Monglot. 😂 ~ Inertia
