Yall act like yall didn’t take science. It dangerous if it was a salt water pool. There’s not enough to pass electricity through that water. Its movies that are with this pretend notion that it happens so easy.

I build High end pools and I like the product but in this scenario if the pool hasn’t been plastered yet I’m chipping out the section of the drain and fixing it like it should be. It appears the builder went to pressure it up before plaster and found it didn’t hold. Atleast he pressured it up. Some wouldn’t bother. I leave our pools pressured up from the rebar phase all the way until it’s time for plaster so that we know it’s good. On new construction guys break stuff all the time and don’t say anything. I do like the product and think it definitely had a place. Good videos

If I attempt to replace the light fixture, Is there a risk of creating a leak through the back of the niche while attempting to pull the new wire for the new fixture through the conduit for connection? (vynil) Pool does not currently leak - just the fixture leaks which trashed the socket of the old fixture. Thanks, Helpful video.

My leak is in the same location for my deck jets. A freeze got the pipe for that circuit of water flow. What does a repair like this cost?
@leaktronicsАй бұрын
Depends on how big the leak is and if you want your deck cut open. This particular job is around $3100 (in California) to cut the deck and replace the pipe. We also have a newer product, Pipepoxy, that usually costs around $1500, but that all depends on how far the leak is in the line, and it doesn't leave an ugly patch on your deck! Here's how Pipepoxy works: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHevp6WNqblgqJY

@sharonsmith3362Ай бұрын
When your skimmer was doing this was your pool water level dropping significantly?? I just paid $500 for someone to tell me i had leaks in my new liner thats only a week old. But my skimmer keeps draining down to nothing and they said there was NO underground leak…..Im so frustrated with the whole thing. I was told a new liner would fix this problem and it hasn’t. It’s as bad as it ever was before in the old liner.

@@leaktronics yes we installed the pool liner. We have put in 3 liners since we have had this pool over 30 years. It started losing water with the last liner that needed replacing…big time leak. Had to just stop using it for a couple years. The guy did NOT use the leaktronic detection equipment. He had a tank and hose with a gauge. Which i thought was for his diving equipment. I told him the lines were draining and he just looked puzzled. Because the pool was full of water at the time they came out. They told me it had to be full to the max line. He told me basically to get an other liner, i told him this one is only a week old……

What headphones are best for leak detection?
@leaktronicsАй бұрын
Any headphones with a 3.5mm (1/8 in) jack are fine. We supply basic headphones, but you can upgrade to a nicer pair if you want. As an audio person, I would recommend closed-back headphones. Personally, I love the Beyerdynamic DT770! - Drew (Video Editor / Social Media)

Is it okay just to slice the blown out portion of my wiring that goes to my light fixture?
@semotechАй бұрын
Sadly it is NOT allowed (due to risk of electrocution) to splice cable that reside permanently underwater. Not even IP68 connectors are made to be always submerged. This is why pool lights are installed such that the wire for the lights can be puled out and used to pull the new light wire. You basically cut the wire a foot or so from the back of the old light, connect (securely) the new light wiring to the old wiring still coming our of the niche, and then on the other side where the old wire comes out of the ground you can pull it to remove and bring the new wire to the same spot. If you're going to do this it is also recommended to switch from 120V AC to 12V DC LED lighting, to save money and be safer due to the lower voltage and amperage. New LED lights also have controllers that allow for color changes and even smart phone Bluetooth or ideally Wi-Fi control.
