The semi-abstract illustration of Albert is kind of cool, but with a major flaw: Albert was a left-handed guitarist, unlike the illustrated version. The guitar should be depicted being fretted by his right hand and picked/strummed by his left hand.

That's Buddy Guy on guitar on the first four of these, and possibly some of the others.

The first two songs feature the soprano sax, which Coltrane had just started playing a bit over six months prior to these recording sessions. He got it in March of 1960 as a gift from Miles Davis for reluctantly agreeing to accompany Miles on a European Tour. These recordings were made in October of 1960. Not bad for a "beginner" on the soprano sax, eh?
