Great video informationally speaking, but the text and the location of it is incredibly difficult to read.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I'm still trying to figure out how to manage the rythme, flow and aesthetics of the text during my videos. Hope you managed to enjoy it nonetheless

In your presentation where you break down the pros and cons of the old-school Waiter Guard versus the New School, you could’ve also mentioned that the old-school version is more vulnerable to ankle locks since the knee line is between the opponent’s legs. Meanwhile, the New School, with its X-guard-like setup where you tuck your knees under the controlled thigh, helps prevent the ankle lock. Other than that, great video! You really cross-reference your sources to give us a structured, simplified, yet thorough analysis.

The SLX and 70/30 transitions are really nice and easy to implement. You can also catch a saddle somewhere Levi style during scrambles

Mikey's instructionals are so boring. He rambles a lot and its very difficult to find the section for the detail you need. But his details are just so in depth. As detailed or even more than Danaher's. Danaher sticks to the most significant details. Mikey lists them all out but they're scattered all throughout a 1 hr. Video with no/very few timestamps.

Yes. It's a damn shame because there are a lot of really really good and unique details. But he rambles a lot and doesn't structure his teaching

Tbh I love mikeys stuff because I’m so detail oriented and ramble of jiu jitsu details too … if your not jiu jitsu nerd above purple I can see where it’d be so tiresome.. that said Isaac’s instructional was definitely the best gi footlock by miles if your purple -black belt. He gives some really insane micro details that make the difference for my brown belt competitors .. if your white or blue Mikey’s gi death from below is cheaper and you won’t need micro details like bending wrist to get like a 1% stronger off balance. You just need the essentials of technique

this is a dope video dude. love the absolute disrespect grippo shows for leg entanglements lol. even if he doesnt get the pass/katagatame looks very taxing for the outside ashi player with the amount of pressure hes putting on and basically kicking/passing his shin across their face. also some of those leg drags remind me of his famous gianni RIPPO inside heel hook from top

Yes he has a really unique tactics for a lightweight in nogi. One of the best top games in his division IMO
@user-vc6
@user-vc6 7 сағат бұрын
It’s definitely extremely taxing, even if you stay technically sound (good frame structure) your leg frames can become to exhausted if you don’t have the muscle endurance ( most don’t,). Once that happens they’ll wilt and they’re be technical weakness in the position ( structural weaknesses) .. happened to me in absolute match against a super heavy. I won I got into big trouble n needed to escape a turtle one hook in position
