I want to buy a calf chaps, does it has to be exact to my calf size or it’s better to get a bit bigger measurement?
@Ridingwarehouse
@Ridingwarehouse 22 күн бұрын
Hello! When purchasing half chaps, you need to use your exact measurements as they will not drop like tall boots. You can shop our selection of half chaps here: www.ridingwarehouse.com/catpage-HALFCHAPS.html. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments! ~Katie, RW

Hello @7644sand! We apologize that the second step wasn't clear; however, we've created a step-by-step guide that you can follow so you tie the perfect quick-release knot! You can view that article here: www.ridingwarehouse.com/lc/training/equestrian-starter-guides/how-to-tie-quick-release-knots-for-horses.html. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns! ~Katie, RW

What are these things for the horse??

I would suggest using the string that connects to the brow band as the nose band will slide down over the soft part of their nose when they collect if you dont. Some horses may not care and others will. It just depends on how sensitive they are or if they have any breathing issues. My daughters horse will intermittently shake her head like shes being sassy, especially when cantering. It took me a bit to realize why she was doing it. She's never done it before and and im pretty sure thats why. We will know for sure next time she rides as im attaching a string. I bought the bit at a tack swap so it didnt come with the string even though it looks brand new. Even the rawhide on the nose was completely clean so im pretty sure its never been used. Its one with rawhide nose vs the leather.

Ok but, that last one is NOT a quick release knot. In a situation where the horse is pulling back and you need to quick release - that’s not going to be helpful having to try and pull the end of the rope…our current barn uses that method and I was kind of surprised
@Ridingwarehouse
@Ridingwarehouse 2 ай бұрын
Hello @SingleMomBudgeting! You are correct, when the "tail" end is tucked into the final daisy loop, it must be un-tucked to become quickly released. However, it can be left untucked so the knot can be released without an extra step. Please let us know if you have any further questions or comments and we would be happy to assist. ~Katie, RW

This video is important, since Miller's instructions are missing critical info. The video was slightly helpful, but unfortunately you got two things backwards, as supported by other comments. 1) The bushings on the link assemblies (locking hinges) go the other way, between the black hoop and the gold-colored assemblies, spacing them farther from the hoop. The smaller part of the bushing goes through the hole in the link assembly 2) You have the link assemblies backwards. The large tab should face forward so the "knee" bends toward the front of the cart.
