No, but you can find the empowerment online or attend in person or view the recordings for the 2024 event that was given recently. It is good to prepare a space for receiving it online that is clean and pleasant.. as it could take 2 hours or more. My only advice would be to have a good foundation in Buddhism, also practice common and uncommon preliminary practices. You don’t want to jump into Sadhana practices like this if you haven’t practiced the step by step approach and have a consistent daily practice. The most important requirement is Bodhichitta, your Samaya will be to never lose love for all mother sentient beings and an accumulation of mantras. @@Konchog_Ngodrup Ive done the preliminaries (6 months worth of daily Vajrasattva mantra and 2 months prostrations and daily offerings) and read many books by Glenn Mullin and Lama Yeshe on both the preliminary practices and the completion stage practices. Ive read the tantric commentaries and the works of the masters. I’ve watched many of these online empowerments but have never attended one under the personal guidance of a guru. Yet I understand all facets perfectly (empowerment and transmissions).I came close to formal empowerment but couldn’t connect with the guru who was always unavailable. In this period of time I began to have experiences that led me to great insight and further devotion. I can’t go into detail about them publicly without violating the root vows, but I’ve received “transmissions”. At this point, I’m just looking to connect with other practitioners, who ask if I’ve been empowered. Obviously I tell them I have not been. I’ve had such difficulty finding a guru, it’s become less of a concern, because my practice is so strong. Yet it has left me kind of isolated from the sanghas who are private (and I can’t lie about this). Any suggestions?
