Yes I have found myself kind of paralyzed when coming to choose colors for mokume gane. In this version just one color is all you have to choose, lol

For some reason I have no sound. Can you tell me if there is an odor to this varathane?

A lot of my videos have no sound, only captions. Maybe just the tiniest bit of odour but nothing bad

Have you tried UV resin on top? I have never tried Pan Pastels.
@ClayBoxSupplies18 күн бұрын
I haven't tried resin on top. You might find it loses the texture. Pan pastels are so fun, give them a try

Hi From Australia I Absolutely Love Your Clay Machine And Is It Motorised And Is It A Modified One 💕💕💕💕
@ClayBoxSupplies24 күн бұрын
Hi there. Yes it is a modified one so I can easily take off the blades for cleaning. Here is a link www.edscolors.com I do have a marcato motor for it as well. It’s quite loud but fantastic if you are going to be doing a lot of mixing

Very good tutorial, the reason the pan pastels are better than micA powders even though your results look the same they have a binder in them that helps them stick to each other as well as the clay so there’s no need for any varnish unless something heavily worn like a bracelet or a pendant or brooch that might rub against the inside of a coat. but for this project, they are perfect. And one other thing you might want to try with your small plastic cutters so they don’t stick get a sponge pour on a little armor.all which is a silicone liquid car interior protective it is a great release agent for stamps and cutters and doesn’t affect the clay and very little goes a long way
@ClayBoxSuppliesАй бұрын
Thank you for the info. So do you think the pearlescent colors don’t have the binders in them then?

Cute! Thanks for pointing out that it's probably a good idea to add a hole or holes for some air to escape as it heats up inside the puffy part! I haven't made any yet but it's on my list of Cool Stuff to Try Soon. Of course by the time I do, I'm likely to forget about the holes. 😂

Thanks for the info. My main problem is the transfers don’t look as vibrant as the originals? In fact, sometimes the colors actually change between the finished polymer piece and the original print. I use office max laser printers and smartsolve paper. What do you think? Thanks
@ClayBoxSuppliesАй бұрын
A couple of thoughts. I think fresher, stickier clay helps the image stick well, as well as washing off any leftover paper after baking. I bought a Canon image class laser so I can adjust the color density and they come out quite vibrant. Not sure if you can adjust that on yours? I have not had any noticeable color changes after baking but it’s impossible to know what pigments/plastics are in each laser toner color. Red color paint for example is common to change color with baking.
@lindadozier8055Ай бұрын
@@ClayBoxSupplies thank you! I guess your printer was expensive. I think my clay might have been a little old because I’ve never seen premo so crumbly. ❤️

I thought overbaking clay was a bad idea? Wouldn't the already baked part get ruined by putting it back in the oven for an hour? Like, Sculpey clay recommends only 15 minutes at 265F.
@ClayBoxSupplies3 ай бұрын
Sculpey Premo bakes at 275C for 30 mins per quarter inch thickness. You can bake it and rebake it at that temperature for as long as you like without issues, as long as your oven temperature is correct.
@Kaligraphy223 ай бұрын
@ClayBoxSupplies Whoops. Meant to put 275F. And wow, didn't know you can rebake it at the same the temperature for as long as you'd like. That's cool. I'm definitely trying this over my weekend. Thanks for replying. 🙂

I believe that is soufflé. It’s a good idea to let the clay sit for a while after blending in the pasta machine. It will firm up
