I thought the tuner was going at the end of the chain.
@SamHortonMusic21 сағат бұрын
Tuner needs the cleanest signal so it goes at the start right after the guitar

I'm assuming you are using a regular amp, so I'm left wondering how these pedals would work with an amp designed for acoustic guitars? Acoustic-oriented amp makers also seem to discourage using an overdrive/distortion pedal.
@SamHortonMusicКүн бұрын
I go into a mixer and then into a PA system. Don't use a guitar amp for live use. I'll make a video on my full rig setup soon.

At the moment I'm still using the AC-3 from ZOOM, which, in addition to guitar simulations, has a compressor, EQ, and reverb or delay, chorus, etc. in one pedal. The AC-3 also has a tuner, a booster, and pickup adjustment built in. In addition to the normal mono/stereo output, there's also a balanced output on the back for both stereo channels. That's enough for my needs. I also have a LOOPER from Boss, an RC30, and two stomp boxes to hammer out rhythm with my feet. I then play the whole thing through an acoustic amp from Boss, the Boss Accoustic Singer Pro.

Definitely, I've been thinking about a vocal harmonizer for a while.

Do you find you have a hard time turning the looper off by having to double tap?
@SamHortonMusic14 күн бұрын
I don't have an issue with turning it off but the timing has to be spot on as with all looping. The most annoying feature of this looper is when you want to clear the loop you hold the pedal down but the loop plays back for a few seconds until it clears. To get around this I usually just turn the loop pedal down or the volume down on the mixer, but it's an annoying feature which I'll probably look to upgrade in the future.

Where did you find the info that its modelled after a fender amp? IT doesn't say that on the website and it's clearly modelled after a tone king imperial mkii, hence the name. One of my 2 favourite plugins. Try the Asato if you haven't already.
@gffg387Ай бұрын
The real Tone King Imperial is based in Fender amps.
@SamHortonMusicАй бұрын
Yes the plugin is modelled after the Tone King but that amp is inspired by vintage amps like the Fender Deluxe Reverb. It says in the amps manual which can be found on the Tone King website “I designed the Imperial back in 1990. At the time I was inspired by listening to vintage amps such as the Fender Deluxe Reverb”

great video, thanks for some inspiration, ended up with a CH-1, cloudburst, OC-5 and then went for the Strymon Brig for delay instead of the MXR :D What was the song at 6:00 and 10:30?
@SamHortonMusic23 күн бұрын
6:00 wasn't a song, just random chords! And 10:30 was Times Like These by the Foo Fighters. Sounds like you've got a great setup! Damn that Strymon delay must be nice.

Do you know why this came with only DC 18 and DC 12 power cables everything I use is 9 V and everywhere I look says do not use those cables on a 9 V pedal
@SamHortonMusicАй бұрын
No idea, but I just plug them all into 9v pedals and it works great!
@captainhonanАй бұрын
@ ended up contacting the manufacturer and those cables determine the length not anything more so it’s a DC 18 cable means it’s a DC 18 inch cable DC 12 is the DC 12 inch cable confusing but all good

Great setup but I would change one major thing. Remove that polytuner and get a Peterson stomp mini tuner instead. Smaller footprint, for one thing, and far, far more accurate tuning. Don't believe me? Try it! You won't believe what that tiny bit of extra of fine-tuning makes.
@SamHortonMusicАй бұрын
Interesting I've never tried them. Will give it a go, cheers!

Bonjour. J'ai une question. Si vous pouvez me répondre merci. Dans mon pedalier et pour le son que je recherche, je voudrais donner de ma guitares electro acoustique Une Épaisseur et je me demande si la pedale Octave de boss si je la regle sans delirer trop peut me donner une Épaisseur. Pouvez vous me dire ????
@SamHortonMusicАй бұрын
Yes it could be used at a low volume level to thicken it up. You could also use an EQ
