You guys only saw perry on his prime. Plus there is no KZbin and no lots of camera that time thats why no perry (worst moments) were captured. Because perry leave journey when its still on his prime. Thats why all videos of perry is in great condition.. same with pineda. In his(pineda) early days with journey all of his videos are great. Let perry sing now and see if he still can sing in a smooth way.

I agree. Arnel is by far the worst singer since Steve Perry was in the band. At least with Steve Augeri and Jeff Scot-Soto, they each had a powerful voice but added their own character and personality. Arnel has zero stage presence and has turned the group into a cover band. Neal's always excellent axe skills notwithstanding...

Interesting how he did the intro without a Steinberger. Eddie played the intro in a different tuning than the body of the song and used the Steinberger to do it live. Joe did a nice job with the squeals and scratches. Even threw in his Satch whistle divebombs.
