Looking really good this year! I did a small 12x16 rink in our backyard this year for my young girls to learn to skate. It’s been some of the most fun I’ve had in winter since I was a kid!

This is gold. I did the pole anchor using a tree spike, pvc pipe T-joint and an eye bolt. Great job doing the leg work and finding the right combination of parts. This is a fantastic custom mount and I will 100% be adding it to my canoe.

This is great, I’m gonna def. Try. I have troubles with my poles getting caught up in in tree limbs. Maybe a swivel on the bottom of the flag holder may work.

interesting that it is called " Stone Town " ... wonder how much influence the Worthington ( quarry experts turned railroaders ) had on that ? Good daddy day !!! Kid has the making of a surveyor or explorer - new age explorers go to space and map a bigger reality.....

I’ve had zero complaints about cold feet since doing this.
@justinwise67812 жыл бұрын
Dealing with this issue now. I did a hot water resurface, Temps are low 10 degrees at night. Went out today and the ice is still pretty rough, skates sinking into it. We had freezing rain before a foot of snow. Tried my best to save it but I'm pretty sure I'm screwed unless it warms up for a few days.

Did you have to bring your own pants for cooking?
@cjentertainmentcanada86232 жыл бұрын
Yes we had to bring our own pans. Only the stove and bbq (with propane), were included.

If you left this setup connected to a 5v camera. Would it overcharge it ?
@cjentertainmentcanada86232 жыл бұрын
Im not 100% sure, but I’m pretty sure over charging is controlled by the charging pack.

How thick is your ice ?? Does it make sense to do some floods and build up with the slab moving so much ?? Great work.
@cjentertainmentcanada86232 жыл бұрын
The ice is 1.5 inches thick. As long as the cracks are frozen then you can do regular light floods to build up the ice. See my next video. I did 2 floods, which is only 1/16-inch each time probably but if I were to do 16 floods like that over a couple nights, it will have added another inch on top of whatever is freezing below. I find at -10C I only need to wait 20 minutes between each flood.

Looks awesome, nice work. I had a good laugh with the sounds you made for when the ice broke....brought back memories of my first build last year. Dove off the rink so fast !

hey man i just set up my rink 2 nights ago and i can’t stand on it and now i woke up to 2 cm of a slush layer on top of the snow and i don’t know what to do because it’s 3 degrees today and i can’t stand in it
@cjentertainmentcanada86232 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response. If it’s just even slush, just leave it, it will eventually freeze once the temperature drops. If it was a bunch of uneven snow and slush on top of thin ice, I’d recommend buying a roof rake and pulling ALL the snow and slush off the thin ice while you stand on solid ground. It’s a lot if work, but it will save you HOURS of repair work to fix very rough ice.

Looking great! Hoping this year the weather cooperates 🙌🏽😅 unfortunately no skating rink for me this year, since we got a pool this summer so most of our space is gone. Your videos were very helpful when I built mine last winter but looking forward to seeing your results.

Guys put in a simple in line fuse. Say 15 amp car fuse. It'll save blowing the glass fuse inside the 5a adapter or anything else.
@PS4PROGAMER545610 ай бұрын
What fuse will i need for 45 amp battery
@ArtofSpellbound8 ай бұрын
I'm no expert but it's basically to protect your item that's being charged. I have fuses on a bank that I've plugged all my 12 volt outlets into. So a lower amp blade fuse wouldn't hurt. Just shrink wrap to your existing line. You can buy the fuse holders at most auto stores. The blade fuse kits are cheap. No harm done with extra fuses. Nice and easy.

and a 90 day warranty is not that long. If they're so unbreakable, I think the warranty should be much longer!!!

Well after using them outside on our backyard rink and in our garage by adults and kids for thousands of hits per target, I can confirm they are unbreakable.

I was wondering when you were going to post this! I just emptied mine this past week. It’s interesting how the ice gets like that when it melts 😅 I guess it happens to all rinks. I look forward to seeing you rebuild it next season..your videos have been a great help for me and I hope with everything i learned I can make a even better rink next time around. Thanks 😊

How is the flow and pressure compared to a standard hose? I need to run 100' of hose for my resurface.
@cjentertainmentcanada86233 жыл бұрын
The flow is definitely less than my 3/4” garden hose, but still enough for flooding a rink. As far as using a 100ft length, I’m not sure but I’ve heard other people having luck with 100ft Flexi Hose, but every house has slightly different water pressure.
