Amazing work! Just from this performance I have no doubt Wes Montgomery is a big influence for you. You have a very beautiful tone and melody lines, while incorporating the classic octave playing.

Whats a good strategy for practicing how to solo on this tune? I practice playing v-is, chord tones, and Dminor scale but cant really put it all together to get nice lines
@MatthewRyu2 ай бұрын
Since there are lots of chord changes, learning lines/licks for each chord could be good practice. Scales wouldn't really work well on this kind of tune I think. Try playing chord tones with different ways too such as enclosure notes or chromatics etc. Best way is to transcribe a solo of this tune though. A solo from a player you like maybe? Hope this helps!

Hello! Great solo !! May I ask you a question, how did you improve your time? I have a feeling that it's about having different settings with metronome. What methods did you use to make a consistent time? P.s. Sorry for my english )
@MatthewRyu2 ай бұрын
@@ВладиславВоронков-в7д hey, thank you so much! I think my time is terrible and have to work more on it but what I do with metronome is put the click on 2&4 or just only on 2nd or 4th beat. I also recommend using a good backing track to practice timing. What helped a lot is recording my practice session and listenimg to it. I think it's also about a mindset thing-you always have to be calm so that you don't rush. I hope this helps! It's what I do at least. Let me know if you have more questions.
