It is possible to play offline, but the World Champs must be played on the official servers, and like Q3DF if it's done offline there's no leaderboard watching it.

Oh god this brings back all of those wild memories doing CTS in the Nexuiz days. I was terrible but it felt like a huge achievement when I finally managed to beat a really hard one. I've not been in the community for at least 15 years now. I miss it.

@@nullvoyent There will be US servers for XDWC (and a BR server, for South America). But ping doesn't matter too much for strafing. We have a few Americans that do well, and some nutty Australians still playing on EU servers.

The 1st map with the training tutorial is called xdwc2022-0 and you can find it on HP (Hardcore Parkour) servers.

I thought I died fast! I just heard multiple shotgunners already on me and then a chaingunner rev up and kinda assumed the room was mirrored, but yeah. Unlucky, but I definitely should have been more careful. Slowly learning how to play Doom in the slightly more careful playstyle than fully run and gun

@@MxCraven Blind survival means playing slow and methodical, not taking any risks. But this WAD has a bunch of traps so it can be very unforgiving

Happens, those spawn frags were brutal. It is the trouble with your play style in Xon, control doesn't lead to huge frags and frag leads can be brought back in seconds by an aggressive player if they make you lose control. Contrast to rapha in QL/Q3, you can take control from him but not as easily bring back 2-3 frag leads. 1 minute can be 6 or more frags in Xon in the wrong circumstances.

the just_jump_3 rec fails are all unintentional, it's possible to do w/o fail but hard af. and I probably did the backwards start 100 times before making the rec :D - going backwards for sure just to mess with you at this point, but also bc it's steezy

so I'm running a communtiy page on Xonotic on a Russian-speaking website, and as you are non-binary I don't really know how to address you in Russian. we have three grammatical genders: masculine, feminine and neuter, and in contrast to English we also change verbs by gender. is it okay to use neuter?

Verts r7-climbworld--09jungle run was amazing... had a lot of fun on aurora-beamclimb-15k, like 2-3 months offline grinding to learn each section full speed

@@MxCraven I like HP style maps, but some good recs: dm_11 - RiFo aka Neo from the matrix, crunkle - wHt, tricky climb map, really nice route, chronos-bardok - wHt beat my time :( - very smooth run kool_scigypt - Des dethrowns tux0r and Mak with a killer cut electron, nr_quickierun1_v1r2 - RiFo just killing it - these have been grinded a lot, getting a wr is skill sharq2 - by europroktoi (aka ZaD) sweet cut at the end 0ups-rocketrun3 - Shirosaki insane run, really hard map to even complete makes it look easy gvn-finalsolution2 - RiFo destroyed my wr benzrun-7 - Vert wr - pretty sure punching the air makes u go faster dm_21- Forever 1ast this has been grinded a lot, hard work to wr
