I've uninstalled mw3 now as I'm done with it tbh, I'm on ps5, yet I still see hackers. Reinstalled cold war and been playing good old round based zombies again. Great fun, no lag, no hackers. I'll buy the new cod after it's been out a while and get it cheap, never again will I pre order this shit.

IDK how but I definitely saw cheats in OG MW2 on the 360 back in the day. This one dude had an option in his menu (I saw from the kill cam) to teleport everyone directly to his location then he dropped a C4 or two and killed the entire lobby. Speed hacks on the whole lobby and also anti-gravity hacks for the lobby (these were actually rather fun and I wasn't even mad). One time saw a MASSSSSSIVE black shape coming over the map (Quarry, MW2) and it was like 30 stealthbombers touching wing-to-wing as if it were one solid object and it bombed every square inch of the map.

Gaming isn’t in a weird place at all. Gaming is fine. It’s the amount of content creators simply interjecting their influence and opinions on gaming and expecting to be catered to that’s weird. The other main issue in gaming isn’t so much the studios but the parent companies of these studios forcing developers to put out subpar content for the sake of simply cranking out games for profit that aren’t ready to be released. All of that is done for the sake of the upper management being worried about investors.

At this point I play games knowing that 35 percent of the player base is cheating. Maybe going back to no cross play would help but it’s really a sad reality we find ourselves in.

Nobody said anything about it then but you could go get $250 controllers from modded sites that did a lot of what a Cronos does now. The only reason for you to brush over that and act like people weren't cheating when you were a pro is if you were doing it too.
