I also haven't cast anything new yet, still wanting to finish some projects first. Also re stuff taking forever, if you have a top load washer you can put stuff in on a spin cycle to get some of the extra water out, I have a worsted weight that takes forever to dry this time of year that I really should clean but don't want to wait forever for it to dry

@odhtate987 I do have a top-load washer, but I couldn't seem to get it to go just on a spin setting. I need to get a new lamp for my laundry room. We're relying on a flashlight right now😂. Loved seeing your stash organization. May this be a good year for clearing stuff out.

The grunge yarn: did you say you are planning to make a “caramelly” sweater? I am struggling with stashdown motivation this year. I need to do a little reorganizing, and that might be a good wake up call for me…
@osteoknits7 ай бұрын
I probably should have put it in the notes. It's the Karamelli sweater. It looks like a great way to bring together some dk singles. I seem to replenish the stash as quickly as I knit from it... Reorganizing is always such a good exercise. You rediscover old things and maybe decide that some no longer fit your crafting goals. I like to try to match up my yarn with potential projects, too, or in the very least categorized for socks vs. SQs, etc.

Good luck with your garden! I have recently learned that tomato plants can be permanently damaged by temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Even if the damage isn’t visible immediately, they will have stunted growth and bear fewer flowers/fruit. I am being much more protective of my tomatoes this year. 🤞 I do not have a green thumb, either, but I’ve had pretty good luck growing lettuce and root vegetables.

I love the look of thick-thin yarns, so handspun is always so beautiful to me! The following is a suggestion re: reading more french. Skip if you're not interested: a lot of libraries have social media pages. Maybe one of Quebec's libraries will have some content that inspires you with more Francophone authors.

I have monthly cast-ons planned for each month. I tried to be realistic about how long it takes to knit this-that-and-the-other, but I'm still catching up on WIPs from 2023 -- apparently I thought casting on a new sweater each month from October on was a good idea? I'm trying to keep my active WIPs to one item per category: too large to leave the house, colourwork, travel knitting, gifts, concentration-required. Plus I am trying to get a headstart in Xmas knitting, so I have one item in each month. 😬 Looking forward to another video!! 💛
