Welcome back to your summer. As you go forward we here in Canada begin going back to winter. Although you can hardly tell because just yesterday it was well over 30 C and over 40 C just a four hour drive south of me. The wall of heat and humidity was unbearable. Shade cloth over everything and I stayed inside. Everything on my container deck garden survived the heat but my patio door has buckled with the heat. A part of plastic on the back side of it cracked now another job to try and fix it. Hugs from Laura

@@SarahtheGardener My dear I have no doubt at all that you will succeed in your quest for this lovely transformation. I've always seen you power your way through what you want from your garden along with making it beautiful as well. I too have issues with my own body at times working against me, not allowing me to work the way I want to work or for how long. Now at 66 the challenge is very real and like you I have a vision and for me it will just take a slower pace to succeed, yet it shall come to pass and my own visions will become reality.

Sarah, so good to see you in a video even if it's a short one. We are just days away from official Spring here in Nebraska but it's been a weird winter season. Other than a stretch of extreme cold of 10 days the temperatures have been consistently 10F to 15F degrees 8C to 11C degrees above the normal temperatures. The soil temperatures are end of May temperatures instead of middle of March temperatures. I'm not sure what the summer will bring. Last year was very hot and dry. I am suspecting another hot dry year. That's not the norm for here. Have a great harvest day. Nebraska Dave Urban Farmer

Hi Dave, so lovely to hear from you. The seasons are certainly all over the place. Our summer was hotter than usual, but we did get enough rain that it wasn't as brutal as it could have been on the garden. I hope your growing season is super productive, in spite of the weather. : o)

I love the spring planting season, mine is still a long way off but I need to think about my seed order pretty soon! My goodness, you have to start a lot of seeds for your large garden, that takes some organization!

Thanks for commenting. I do love the seed starting and spring season. There is so much hope in that season. I find it easiest to break it up into small groups of seeds so I don't get bored doing it for hours and hours! All the best with your new growing season - it isn't that far away! : o)

Hello and Good Morning Sarah. So lovely to see an update of what is going on in your garden as you approach the Winter months. We've here in Ont. Canada finally came out of winter which in turn was fairly mild, but Spring was colder and longer than usual. Almost the end of June and we've just arrived at warmer temps for the plants that love the warmth. Although the Pak Choi has love the cooler temps so far. But, the Collard Greens are wanting a tad bit of warmer days ahead. Take care, from Laura

So delighted that you gifted us the tour of your amazing garden. I remember the big trucks bringing your house to its spot and you talking about how you wanted to make your brand new garden space here. You out did yourself and made a living space that will prove fruitful and peaceful all at that same time. I suppose the storms are in place to remind us of what we should be thankful for and if we work with mother nature anything is possible as you have shown by growing more than mere rosemary . Bravo my dear and your pool area is so beautiful .. Hugs from Laura in Canada

You are so welcome. The time has certainly whizzed by! With a garden it is always important to stop and appreciate all you have achieved otherwise all you see it what you still have to do! The storms are a constant possibility here, but allows creativity in strength so there is minimal damage and we are always thankful and grateful to live in such a wonderful place. : o)
