My channel is a drummer that mountain bikes, puts those elements together, and treats it like a mixing to mastering journey. And, that's what I need to start doing more of...those words right there. 1. Simplify your titles, theyre too obscure. If its about fishing, just say "This is How I Caught The Best Fish"! YOU CAN EXPLAIN MORE IN YOUR DESCRIPTION. You gotta dumb it down. I think the algorythm doesnt know where to push your vids out and the viewer serch also becomes narrowd down. 2. Bigger bold fonts on the thumbnails BUT as soon as i got rid of my thumbnails, i grew fast. 3. I would narrow down your channel theme. I think girls can get away with a vlog or lifestyle branding but if i were you, I would go with something more specific like; "Fishing" or "Hobbyist" " Equiptment Reviews"...dudes like that stuff.. And yes, a microphone, stellar studio set up, good ambiant lighting. Im always looking at other channels studio decor, most really put a lot of thought in background lighting and decor. Study the channels you like best and follow exactly what they do. As soon as i did this i grew very very fast. Goid luck. The Hobbyist Guy.

Just because the current public video is 4 years old doesn’t mean they haven’t been posting for 10 years. They could have made past videos private as many people get better at their skills and find their old content cringy. Also the first video is titled ‘new channel…’ So they most likely had a previous channel with different niche content. YT algorithm prefers specific niche channels rather than jumping from topic to topic.

@@watsontv13 Maybe that's why you're not monetized. Because instead of sticking with one channel and trying to grow it you give up and start new ones. KZbin isn't gonna monetize a channel with only 350 subs and an average of 500 views. KZbin isn't "changing" because you're not getting monetized. Invest in a better microphone, camera, and lighting. audio is going to be really important. If no one can hear your content, they aren't going to stick around. if your content has a beginning, middle and end, that resembles the hero's journey (your journey) it will help keep people engaged with your content. Even if you have to write out a short transcript, don't be afraid to use AI to help you stay organised. I will be using my channel to showcase my art techniques and my personal journey as an artist/painter. I have an AA in Digital Media and Graphic Design, so, my goal for 2025 is to put that knowledge to good use. I am subscribing to your channel because I want to see your progress and support your journey. Keep it real. Happy New Year! Let's make it productive.

@@1118emporium I wasn't criticising him. The audio is okay, but could be better. If he wants to create a channel to draw more people in, then eventually getting better equipment is key. There is technical equipment that will make for a better viewing experience. It sounds like he really wants to make his channel grow and he can take the advice or leave it.

To be monetized you need at least 1000 subs with at least 4000 view hours in the past year. So your goal is to post relevant content and gain subs in regular intervals, get traffic etc. Fishing is a good niche to start with, for those who are into it. You do get love, your video got to my suggestions and I got nothing to do with fishing. Good luck!
@watsontv138 күн бұрын

@cas90658 күн бұрын
You changed something, because I have not seen a video of yours come up on my algorithm before! I learnt for instagram that you need to figure out who you make your videos for. Are you there for specific types of fishermen specifically, or for generally nature people who don't know much about fishing, yet? And what do these people want? Techniques, spaces, tools, biology, ecology, food and cooking, boating? In webdesign AGES ago we would make a character board of who we are producing for. Give them a face, give them friends and family, give them hobbies and ideas. Then test new ideas on whatever you name that character. Would they be interested in that? That way it is not your interest, but something that others see as coherent. And you are right, you can do that really slowly with little money and previous experience. The new sequel to 28 Days later and 28 Weeks later - 28 Years later - was filmed entirely on the IPhone. Build yourself up consistently with that, and make sure that you have an understanding who you want to be on the channel. What do you want to share, what not, which part of your life becomes the driving force, and how do you tie it all together? Once that is done, you just need to wait for the next viral story that fits exactly what you do. Has a new fish been discovered? Was there a natural disaster everywhere in the news and can you help other fishermen figure out what they can do to help the environment of their favourite fishing grounds? You know, something that people who might be interested in you might actually be searching for. Then spend some time building up that audience base before you add another with the next idea, or with your next type of content. You just need one popular topic that you cover better than others, and you will start to grow. The more viral the event, and the more coherent the interest group, the easier it will be to keep them. But you can make it with everything. Check out tasting History with Max Miller. He used to work as one of the actors at Disney world, until COVID shut it down. Then he combined two of his interests - history and cooking - and made a brilliant channel that now has almost 3 Million subscribers. It is worth looking at his channel and his early videos and what he does now. And maybe talk to him and the other channels that you like to see if they have advice. Just make sure you remain distinguishable somehow to your closest neighbours, and you can grow together. Loads of words for someone who has nothing on KZbin. I used to teach about making language work, also digitally, but I am now waiting to get well enough for a new career. Watch this space in half a year! Best of luck.

I've been doing videos on KZbin since 2008. no monetization. The algorithm doesn't recommend me... probably because I used to post things that are so random, but recently it's mostly AI music that I write the lyrics for. Still 16 years is a long time to do anything.
