One time when I was a kid, we went down to a lagoon in lake Natoma out if Sacramento near folsom, and we saw a school of what we thought were gigantic blue gill, we caught about a dozen of them and took them to a bait shop for their opinion, the owner told us they were red eared sunfish, or were about 10 x bigger than this one, we went back the next day, they were gone and we never saw them again, it was really something !!

I fished rum island today and caught a 3 lb largie an 2 Suwannees that were 2 lbs doing the same thing, flipping log jams and deep pockets in the bends. I’ve caught a couple 3s and 4s on that stretch you’re on with a chatterbait good stretch of river for sure! Btw that “spring” you paddled into is an old sinkhole lol if you paddle about a 1/4 mile further upstream there another one.

Hey Aaron, nice video! I have the same problems with my GoPros over heating. There is a company called Yolotek that makes a white cover that's supposed to help with that. I like 1/8. I feel like sometimes the bigger sizes for some reason the blade does not spin as well. And the lighter sizes are no advantage compared to the 1/8, which will still catch a very small bluegill. Black and gold or silver and chartreuse if I had my favorite colors.
