You said “this is coming from a musical theatre background” … except Cynthia has BEEN on broadway and has won awards for exactly that. Again, make it make sense. The funny part is, the movie isn’t supposed to sound like musical theatre and with your background, you should know that singing in front of a live audience is different. Sounds to me that you just don’t like Cynthia for whatever reason.
