I picked up my BZ4X FWD from the dealership with a 100% charge. After driving 30 km in the city, I began a highway trip, maintaining a speed mostly between 100 and 110 km/h. I reached the charging station with 23% battery remaining after covering a total distance of 323 km in mild temperature without A/C. Based on this, the estimated total range is 419 km on highway. It took 48 minutes to charge the battery from 23% to 92% with 150 kw fast chrger.

Vans 1 and 2 for me, it's a shame that 2 got stripped to create 3. Absolutely fantastic to see 1 has been fully restored by its owner whose had it since the 70's, unfortunately without its original engine which went missing before the owner brought it.

The shop fitting company my dad worked for in the 1970's through to the 1990's had many transit vans over those years.I remember one twin wheel version that had big black rubber rear wheel arches.I used to bend them as a kid.Big old rubber.Pretty sure they were like that from the factory.What made them so good was you could fit an 8ft x 4ft sheet of ply flat on the floor between the arches.A game changer that was.And I'm sure being able to do that made a big difference in sales of them.

Thanks for covering this model; could be interesting as there's not much on the NZ market. Did I miss the price? Is the Tourneo glass roof standard? Is the rear socket standard and how many watts? What's the range? When will it be released in NZ. Basically, what are the most important facts? Thanks.

15 litres on high way certainly nit in traffic, to have in mind the non traffic Australian distances. Meaning 30€ considering fuel price in Europe. That said driving it as a daily in the city for that mile range you need more that 40€ per 100km and for persons like me who easily do that distance weekly only for my work needs, without any retreat rides, means 160-200€ per month. This is why i didn't buy this car even if i can easily afford to buying one. Fuel economy sucks.

FWD owned for 3 months - 3000 miles of varied local and motorway driving. I don’t use aircon through choice. Eco mode. A full charge now promises 330 miles /500+km. I usually charge at home overnight but my most recent experience whilst travelling charged from 32% to 80% in 40 minutes. From 100% down to 32% mainly motorway….205 miles. Whatever others claim this is my experience

as an owner of a 24 bZ4x XLE FWD, the AWD is a lot more inefficient due to larger /heavier wheels and a dual motor, I can attest that without ac/heater on. Mileage is pretty accurate as described unless you are going at any speeds over 65 mph or going up a grade. If you are doing city and speeds around 60 mph miles per indicated on the cluster is pretty accurate. This was the same scenario with my 2023 Tesla or with any EV for that matter. I think if all EV manufacturers were to figure out how to put in a secondary overdrive transmission to their EV for highway travel , I truly believe mileage would be improved.

Thank you so much for sharing. I’m interested in the FWD version and wondering how far is the range in reality. Do you also have any experience of driving in winter conditions? Super, if you could share some real life experiences. 🙏
@brucewayne27736 ай бұрын
@@henriklarsson7835 Range all depends on you relying on the heater / Air Conditioner/freeway speeds etc like with any other EV. I don't use neither. Range for me on a full charge is 259 miles as stated on the cluster, but in real world if you use the heater/AC, drive freeway speeds, expect a range of around 200 miles. But I only drive local miles around 20 to 30 miles around town and I get around 250 miles, 3.9miles per KW. I live in central coast Ca. so we never get snow. And weather is usually pretty darn good all year long.
@henriklarsson78356 ай бұрын
@@brucewayne2773 Central Coast California sounds awesome. I spent a year in CA as a foreign exchange student and where you live is one of the best places ever. The FWD seems to be the better choice with faster charging and longer range. I have a RAV4 PHEV and it’s super reliable. Not a single issue in 3 years and the BZ4X would then be the natural step into the EV world. Thanks a lot for sharing this info, very informative.
@brucewayne27736 ай бұрын
@@henriklarsson7835 Honestly the Rav4 plug in/prime is a great car, only reason why I purchased the bZ4x is the $16250 off, I got it for $27k, makes a great local car for me, I only charge at home. It's my second car as I also have a 24 Camry Hybrid for longer commutes when needed. I would not give up the Rav4 if it was your only primary vehicle, then again not sure what your driving needs are.
