Faço parte do Cineclube São Francisco, na Fraternidade O Caminho, e esse filme faz parte de nosso repertório há mais de 10 anos. São Francisco é um pedacinho do céu do Senhor em nossas vidas. Donovan certamente estava divinamente inspirado quando compôs essas belíssimas canções. Que São Francisco esteja com todos vós.

Obrigado São Francisco por ter existido. A inspiração desse filme fez um dia eu desejar ser um Frade Franciscano, mas não fui adiante, porém esse filme e essa trilha sonora me acompanham até hoje. Donovan foi um inspirado.

A spiritual gem...I find it sadly ironic, though, that a wonderful film about such a giving person could not have its soundtrack released, due to "property rights." I think that would have made St. Francis very sad.

The youth particularly the Danish girl (name forgotten) is the modern St. Francis.....stand up now. Don't idle your car with the air con on in summer or the heater on in winter while your partner goes grocery shopping - help him or her

"... Love is all around you comforting... with gentle lulaby to make your heart sing ..." Those verses always touch my heart because it is very true. God's Love is always around us.. but we don't pay attention. Planet Earth is our comforting house provided by the Lord and we take it for granted and few of us are grateful for that... graces to Him for all we have and his mercy. Peace and Well to you.

Every time I hear & listen to this love song (since high school & I'm a professional now ) makes me stop and goosebumps crept all over my being...feeling blessed, loved by God , loving to God's creation and my self. Thank You St.Francis!

Such a precious gift for humanity to cherish. This music bring such joy to many of people around the world. Even the wild turkeys that came to my window to listen to the song Brother Sun Sister Moon, which I played over and over again on my window sill loved it. They stayed for the entire time! They laid down to listen, then stood up and displayed their feathers in joy before they moved on!

Thank you so much for putting this out here. Donovan was not allowed to release it as an album and after trying for many years he ended up rerecording the songs himself in recent years. The owners of the rights to the film soundtrack really need to make this available. There are literally millions of people worldwide who would buy this <3 I love that this has sounds from the film left in :-) This is exactly how they should release it :-) Again, thank you so much :-) God bless you <3 xxx

I met this beautiful movie and the great singer-songwriter poet Donovan in 1987... I couldn't believe that the soundtrack was not available and here in Argentina I started to investigate and someone told me that at one time in Italy that person had seen it on LP the soundtrack and which consisted of 7 LPs. Something that today I think that person had been confused since I know there was and is a copyright problem. I hope someday this beautiful music that Donovan created based on medieval melodies will be published.

I would like to ask the record executives to stop blocking the release of this inspirational spiritual music. When Donovan sings about Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the movie about St. Francis of Assissi, one wonders why this beautiful music can't be heard by all.
