In the EU too but you can switch regions. And I think if you have an announcement at the beginning it's not illegal.

Thank you! Yes, you have to register in Canada to choose "none" under payment method. One more tip: I had to reset my network settings and restart the phone for apple intelligence to download and start working. Before this step, I was getting "connect to wifi to download Siri" error.

I tested this on my Pro/256GB/Natural Titanium. Made in August. No issues! It's with Samsung screen btw (G9P). Most Pro Max are with LG displays.

This doesn’t work for a Chinese version, cause this version is banned totally by the sales model number, which can only be modified by flashing some underlying system data.

My iphone 16 pro max definitely freezes when I place my finger there but I still get lag and response issues when if I’m nowhere near the camera control button. They’re two separate issues I think.

Tried that on 14 Pro Max with iOS18, with fingers on left and right edges the phone still works fine. I use no screen protector, tested case on and off both worked fine.

Just tried on my 13 pro max on ios 18 and same exact thing happened, this is a software thingy. It also happens if you place your finger anywhere on the left side

That does not sound good. My 15PM is using iOS 18.1 and maybe that's the reason I don't have any problems.

Thank you. But this only helps a tiny bit. Temporal Dithering is still there. Stillcolor removes the issue on MacOS but not on iPhones

Sadly we can't fix the hardware issue. That's why I'm using a Chinese brand smartphone(OnePlus 12) and my eyes are happy

I feel we have two separate screen issues here. One where the palm rejection is affecting the touch sensitivity and the other where when a screen protector is applied it reduces the touch sensitivity. I’ve tried several brands and all affect the sensitivity. I even tried my wife’s 14PM’screen protector. People are even having issues with the one apple installs at the Apple Store.
