A few days ago I've found it in electro-waste collection point. It had even transportation keys installed! Brought it home and gave it some electricity. It's alive! Reads TOC and skips tracks VERY FAST. Surprisingly fast. Nothing about sound, because signal cable is broken. After fixing that problem I expect it to play music.

Posedujem indetični uređaj!odličan zvuk ako snimate audio međutim problem je što su u to vreme u napajanju ugrađivali loše elektrolite tj kondezatore tako da i na ovom uređaju se vidi da postoji anomalija sa displejom.Inače TOP G šasija ne koristi gumice.

I got one of those, guess i bought it 85 or 86. Decent sound dor the price back then....... If i remember right it was somthing like 1200-1400 sek back then.

Interesting. You can see the difference in the build quality, the 610 is far better, I hate those crude LED segment displays used on the later cheaper ones. BTW Do yourself a favour and remove that rotten 'auto head cleaner' arm from the 630 - it will soon disintegrate into a sticky mess and wreck tapes and heads!

I am in the Philippines. This radio can receive strong shortwave radio stations. I can receive BBC, CRI, KBS, and I even received Radio Exterior de España, and radio stations from Vietnam, Korea, and Taiwan. The frequency range for SW in this radio is so wide from 13m band to 120 m band such that a slight movement of the tuning knob will tune to another frequency, and it has no fine tuning knob. It is really hard to tune in to weak radio stations. This radio is fairly sensitive and selective.

Just bought a second one for the garage, the Line In on the back allows you to use it with a Bluetooth adapter, so you can listen to songs from your phone. Real easy to work on, the cassette mechanism is also pretty good for a boombox, belt replacement is a breeze once you unplug the head from the tuner board.

Hello ! I have the same model of JVC, can you tell me if you have measured it, what is the real power on each channel? With a consumption of 200W, how did they put out 100W on each channel in 8 Ohms, taking into account the rest of the components that also consume from the same source, according to my indulgent calculations, it is somewhere around 30w per channel!

God level videographer! Repaired without touching. Just moved the camera around and that's it. What's wrong with this little board? The camera doesn't want to focus on it?

All I know about these JVC VCRs is they don't hold up very good in heavy usage. They break down very easy because of the cheap cost cutting on the parts quality wise. Alot of plastic gears and other parts in the mechanism.
