The outside strings are _barely_ offset from the center of their respective pole pieces on that guitar. Not that it matters in any respect but visually. The pole pieces produce magnetic fields that are much wider than the pole pieces themselves. The small amount of misalignment you see does nothing to affect the sound. There are humbuckers made for standard six string guitars with poles spaced either for neck or bridge to capture the alignment, but as for 8 string guitars, I do not think this has been stanardized yet. Again it would only be to satisfy an aesthetic thing, nothing functional. "I really liked your solos tonight, but Did yUo kNow YoUR pOLe pIEcEs aRnE't pErfEctlY lIned UP wIth yoUR strINgs?"😅

Honestly, no instrument is ever worth more than 2k to me, even boutique brands like Music Man (I own a majesty as well). The price more than likely comes from some of the tech they cram in, the woods they use on the models that actually show the grain, and the hours put into making them because they’re mostly hand-built. But even still, I don’t think they should be worth what they are; they honestly aren’t worth that much.

They are even more stunning in person but yes really expensive, you know I have found lower prices on majesties that are open box, but yes either way I love mine you can also get on eBay good deals
