Good review! I just got a Hush I Pro and had played through the effects. I tried to make my own presets but the mixed effects (0verdrive, Compressor and Booster) and the modulation effects( Chorus, Phaser, Tremolo…etc) seem to be automatically synchronize to same value when I tried to change the values. For example,I change the value of Overdrive to 80m, all other effects of Compressor and Booster) also automatically change to 80, Is it possible to change the values of the effects separately? at 5:25 this sounds good. How to make this Overdrive and save it to presets?

A Strat has a sound, and only a Strat has that sound. But a Deluxe with Mini's can do anything from Jazz, to BB King kind of Blues, to Blues crunch, to Hard driving Rock. Mini's are great all around pickups and underappreciated. Anyone who says "Humbuckers are too muddy" hasn't tried Mini's.

Honestly I thought that A sounded just a bit better and I own the Donner. Also honestly I wasn't absolutely sure of my pick because to me there wasn't that much difference. I am more than happy with my Donner. I have owned a couple of Gibson 335's and loved them. I just don't see that much difference to warrant buying another Gibson. If it was that hard for me to pick one after over fifty five years playing, then it would probably be un-noticeable to most listeners. I have owned dozens of Epi 335 style guitars, and none held a light to my Donner though. Definitely the best budget 335 out there today IMHO.

Quick question for a "less-experienced" musician...can you use the fx loop as a pure pedal platform with HX Stomp? I love my Mach 3 on its own, but I am looking at being super versatile for a wide range of genres without the 6 amp voices for when I want. If that can be done, how do I do it? And thanks for the great in-depth info on the amp!
@christopheranderson215815 күн бұрын
Any amp with an fx loop can be used as you are looking to do. Run your HX into the fx Retun to utilize just the power section of the amp. You will probably want to only use the fx and preamp sections of your models in the HX since you are using a separate power amp. You will also want to disable the cab emulation in the HX as well. You could alternatively run your HX Stomp straight into the clean channel of the amp as you would any amp and just use the HX Stomp for your pedal-type effects. Of course you can also the HX Stomp in the 4-cable method to use pedal effects in front of the Quilter, and run your time-based effects in the fx loop. The world is your oyster with the HX Stomp………so experiment and find which way you like best!

Two of the most versatile guitars ever! Of course the Es guitar is a bit fatter sounding than a Strat but they both have a transparent resonance where the Es has a"crackle" and the Strat is"scratchy". I have a Epiphone Lucille and a couple of Strats.

Funny thing with me is, i don't have that problem when im in a studio with the band, but i do have it when i'm alone at home. My solution is to immediately quit and do it again an hour later, and if i mess up again, stop rightaway and do it an hour later again. One of these takes will work, might take me a few times, but it works. If i keep trying the first time i only get mad and that completely destroys my accuracy. But when i record with the band in a studio, we just have fun so i forget about all that, but when i'm alone, it seeps in..

Great video! I have this amp and it's wonderful. I got my first Quilter 10 years ago. Now I have 4 of them. Since I got them I sold all my tube amps and don't regret it at alll. What a lot of people don't know is that Pat Quilter is the 'Q' in QSC. He started building tube amps in the 60's and he also is a killer lap steel player so he knows what tube amps sound like. With his knowledge of designing and building tube amps and later sound reinforcement equipment when he retired from QSC (he still owns over 50% of the company) he decided to go back to building instrument amplifiers but with modern technology. They sound like tubes but they have and and they're super light weight. I'm 72 and have had well over 200 amplifiers and my Quilters are the only ones I kept.

Stunning reverb sounds! But there is a lot of hiss and noise to be heard in the background (e.g. 01:20 - 02:00). Way too much! Is this from the pedal itself, the recording periphery or the camera?
