Yea you pick a side and hope the opponent isn't on the other side. Either way huge chance you'd get hit.

I am not a professional, but, I struggle to see any situation in which it's safe to clear anything solo.

What "Trailers" in this movement mean?

Why do the operators use the command "trailers" for pieing corners?

Do you guys play on public servers too? If so on which ones, cause I would love to join you sometimes :)

@Mazryonh not really...this is one of the easier tactics/formations on clearing T- junctions.. there's also tactic called back-to-back , where 2 officers are at their backs and are slowly moving 12 oc to the wall while scanning their side- left and right

I know it's completely against the rules of real-life operators, but I like to shoot the pumpkins in front of the door. They explode in funny ways, like the boxes of donuts.

I bet you'd need quite a lot of rehearsal with your team to get this right.

Back in the good old days. When players acted professionally, there was no such thing as quick-scoping, no such thing as bunny hopping, and no such thing as healing in the middle of a mission. Such a pity . . . I would think this game is much easier than SWAT 4 in one respect, though. You don't have to wait for an armed NPC to raise his/her weapon in this game before filling them full of lead.
@Mazryonh12 жыл бұрын
Nice logical layout here. But what about the Optiwand? Are you afraid of other players rushing you when they see the optiwand (since that means at least one player can't use his gun)? What about preliminary grenades just before entering a door/rounding a corner? Or stacking up on one side or another if on Suspect is far enough on the extreme left or right to shoot someone right as they open the door (which happens fairly often to me with AI-controlled teammates)?

@SwatMARKS I see. True stealth entry would only be possible if it were permissible to ventilate any NPC seen carrying a weapon (so you wouldn't have to yell at them, since that alerts NPCs behind closed doors), but that would make the game too much like Rainbow 6. And you would STILL have to yell at NPCs to get them to surrender. Right now suppressed weapons aren't that useful because of that.
@Mazryonh13 жыл бұрын
When you said, "Go Dynamic," I remember how (unlike SWAT 3) it's not possible to use a stealth entry in this game. Any suspects you meet have to be shouted at before you can engage them with lethal weaponry, and have to be shouted at anyway if they are to surrender when hit with less-lethal weaponry. Suspects who don't shoot at you right away also run away and are likely to alert others in the area.

The game thankfully isn't that cruel when it comes to being surprised via suddenly-opened doors or the like. I've also never encountered an NPC that shot through a window on the side of a building, only through a door with a transparent window.
@Mazryonh13 жыл бұрын
This is a nice tool. I usually fill this level full of NPCs so as to make it a little more interesting than the original one.

@SwatMARKS I don't know; I've played a lot of singleplayer on the Stetchkov Syndicate but not co-op. There's a trick with getting unaware suspects to surrender; if you call out when their back is turned, then they're much likelier to surrender. If they try to run, you can always taze or pepper spray them.
@Mazryonh13 жыл бұрын
This mission was always very difficult in singleplayer, especially from the entrance you chose. I do suppose it would be much easier with a co-op team that knows what they are doing. So are you going to give lethal shotguns or assault rifles a try soon?
@Mazryonh13 жыл бұрын
@SwatMARKS Really? I lean a lot in Stetchkov Syndicate and that game's multiplayer and it seems to work for me. If you need me to explain how legally shooting to wound in SWAT 4 works (which is a real boon when playing singleplayer or co-op with lethal weapons), I can do so in a private message.
@Mazryonh13 жыл бұрын
If I have to fire semi-auto a lot with an SMG, I usually go for the HK UMP (the .45 SMG in this game). It has little recoil even on fully automatic, and the firing rate is so slow even light taps are enough to fire single shots even on fully automatic. You might want to try leaning around corners too. It exposes less of your body and still gives you the ability to see and shoot around corners.
@Mazryonh13 жыл бұрын
You do know about the "shooting to wound" trick in this game, right? It's perfectly legit and is a better alternative to playing this game with lethal weaponry and being limited to letting suspects run away unless they point a gun at you/a team member/a hostage.
@Mazryonh13 жыл бұрын
Good that there are still gamers playing this game. The genre is sadly dead.
