I only started watching this show a month before it got cancelled and I'm crushed. I truly fell head over heals in love with this show and desperately want it to continue. Anne Lister is a force, and one I didn't know I needed so badly.

Cannot believe they are not going to do another series. From Sally wainwright, the wonderful Suranne Jones, all of the cast, production, costume designers and everyone else who work on Gentleman Jack Thank You for introducing me to the wonderful Lister Family. In March my hubby and myself went to Shibden Hall and it happened to be Ann Lister week.We had a fabulous time and the house and gardens were wonderful. Ann and Anne were pioneer’s of there time💜💜 Thank you Sally for introducing me to Gentle Jack 🙏🙏 Oh and the theme tune is brilliant it’s one of my go to tune on my Alexia🤗

At it's core, it's a love story, and right now, more than ever, it should be celebrated for its inclusivity, its' passion, strength of characters, and never blinking or looking away when the lights of negativity or divisiveness are shone in their faces. It's intelligent, funny, sad, sometimes anger inducing, but ultimately we come away in the firm belief that 'Love Is Love....Always', and forever more! Please keep it going! ❤️

Hi. I don't know where to ever start. I was already upset when the news broke that GJ was canceled. Where I live in the US, we had a horrible storm a few weeks ago that knocked out power, phone and internet. Phone and internet was down for over 20 days. So, I was behind watching GJ. I watched the last episode knowing it was the LAST episode. I think they new HBO had pulled out, because they gave us an ending that did not leave clifhangers...but I want to know more. Yes, I could read the book, but I want to see the amazing Suranne Jones show me what Anne Lister acheived, both in business and her personal life. I want to know if the hotel was a success, if Ann spoke to her sister again...I want more of Anne Lister scaring the hell out of local businessmen with her extream knowledge and wit. This show was so much more than a lesbian love story. It's a history lesson. At this time, a woman being in charge of business was unheard of...I want to see more. I have already been sending messages to HBO. I will cancel my subscription after my daughter finishes a show she is watching. I will use my voice on social media. GJ was so good...the acting was brilliant, the writting was amazing, I love being taken back to their time with the beautiful scenery, the costumes and this remarkable story.

Okay - I am really not computer savvy at all, so I can use some help, please. I see this segment ends with #savegentlemanjack. Is this what is called a hashtag? What does one do with it? I really want to become active in the attempted resurrection of GC, but I am just not sure how. I did see an email earlier today that someone wrote to HBO and that HBO answered quite quickly saying they would send it to the appropriate person. Perhaps everyone who has a subscription to HBOMAX or Amazon Prime could write a letter/email also, or many of them. Write to them even if you don't have a subscription. I also saw that someone threatened to drop his or her subscription. I thought it myself at first, then I realized that negative responses would not get the same reaction as positive ones (i.e. What this show means to me). They want to make money, not lose it from dropped subscriptions; don't give them reasons to believe they were right. Please help me someone with this hashtag thing. And stay "Lister strong".
