Basically Fender made the perfect strat ! I have one and its so so well made. It feels effortless to play and very light and resonant. I did remove the ugly modern tuners and put set of Gotoh kluson style tuners for that classic look.

My grandfather was the US Navy Gunnery commander on the SS Henry Bacon. He died that day. My mother was 2 months old at the time. He made sure all his guys were rescued before him. He was too cold to hold on to the line thrown to him by the British sailors, and he slipped off and drowned. His gunners were the guys mentioned shooting down the JU-88s.

My wife’s grandmother, was 16 when she was among this group of rescued civilians. Her family lived in a cave for a long, cold winter outside Narvik before the rescue. I believe the girl at the top right is her at 1:45. The captain at 3:06 is from a film “Through Hell or High Water” that was made about them. She met a British (Scottish) sailor on the HMS Onslaught. His name was Archie Kelly. He taught the Norwegians the song “Sailing up the Clyde” before their arrival. He sent her home to his mom while he went back to sea. When he returned, they married and moved to Canada then Seattle, Washington in America and lived a happy life. With a child, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren that called her Bestemor.

Beautiful guitar. Funny that I did the same exact thing you did when I opened the case. I ran my hand up the neck ( did it to feel the rolled edges. I got the Dark Night with rosewood fingerboard. Congratulations. That sunburst is just so good looking.

Bredt og fint sykkelfelt med «Røde løpere», er ikke særlig mye trafikk der heller, ser det ut som ifølge videoen.

Veldig flott at kommunen satser på sykkelfelt, spesielt i storgata. Uheldig at feltet ikke er veldig fysisk separert fra biltrafikken, og nede ved kinoen kolliderer jo det med det nye busstoppet. Vestsida, derimot, var smart nok til å avlede sykkelfeltet fra busstoppet. Ellers, er det i det minste et steg fremover.
