This was first stopped because of fears of landslides and explosions. We don't need another pipeline. Time to quit rewarding the petroleum and LNG companies. We have the Sabal Trail pipeline here in Florida because the EPA ditched the original project study which proved this wasn't needed. The company was then allowed to make up their own faulty study. We already had a line across the Gulf. Another LNG line through wetlands and along old already existing lines? Small LNG plants could now be placed in poor neighborhoods and shipped overseas. Local communities didn't know the dangers of LNG when it comes in contact with water. We have a lot of water in Florida.

This is the truth. No one but EQT frackers need this pipeline (to get it exported or sent out of state), and it is very poorly constructed on probably the most hazardous pipeline route in the US - mostly steep, landslide-prone slopes and karst valleys full of sinkholes and caves. Only Joe Manchin's act of Congress allowed it to continue. For shame.

Someone got into their pockets. It is sickening. Great speech young lady. I looked at land near there several years ago. Thank goodness I did not buy it as I would have been sick to my stomach to know that was a neighbor. I hope everyone will get to the polls to vote these idiots out of office who voted for this to go forward.

I grew up out there from birth had NO problems at all!! I truly enjoyed my up bringing and being in a close knotted community I'm blessed to say I have never been tested and proven to have no illnesses of any kinds nor have been poison nor has any of my family members and I believe as well they wanted our community instead of putting purifiers out in the community drains if they thought we was contaminated they did not, the city did not come and help in any way at ALL they wanted us gone so that they can reuse the property for what they want which is exactly what they are doing as we speak. If it was so horrible why not condim the property and use as a recycling area or something like that? Just my opinion...Hyde Park was its own little city other than the bad drainage that the city did nothing about we had 2 play grounds to play in,3 churches, 2 community centers,a elementary schoo,l a car lot, 2 stores, a couple of frozen cup ladies and some candy stores, a family that had a small.farm for as long as they could, a host of families and neighbors that cared about the children. Hyde Park held meetings like no other black neighborhood in Augusta so much that the news always wanted to be there to see what we were discussing, what we was standing for and what we were against. No other neighborhood in Augusta was like it... NOT 1 and it was a predominantly black neighborhood where majority owned a acre of land and I am 1 that is proud to have grown up there, got married left the state came back years later and moved back there and my kids have good memories out there as well..Sooo again I do believe that the city very well did not want us to have our community for their own financial gain and that's just my opinion. But they'll never break our bond🥰

What a bunch of short sighted people! My real disappointment in this project is how meager the amount of communities that are to be serviced by this pipeline. The lies that the people are being told about this project is breathtaking. How they get fracking involved in the construction of this pipeline is beyond me.

@nrutledge01 Nuclear power is not in the nations best interest unless you believe in the destruction of good ole American capitalism to be replaced with socialistic enterprise of government subsidies at tax payer expense. Nuclear power can't exist without billions of dollars of our tax payer money. Don't be a sucker for the nuclear industry's deceit. Support American capitalistic free enterprise not socialism. Oil vs nuclear power is a Red Herring, stop your deceit. Nuclear power kills.

@nrutledge01 Radioactive atomic power kills. It has killed thousands and continues to sicken thousands. The nuclear fuels cycle is the dirty secret of atomic power lovers and the ignorant. Radioactive atomic power is not clean it is not safe, is very expensive and it kills. nrutledge01, discover the truth before your endeavors result in the death of more atomic fuels workers.

i am a man that loves my mother very much, but let's be honest. what does the average mom/housewife know about nuclear power? now, if they have a degree in engineering and nuclear experience or have been trained in some type of US Navy nuclear program, the answer is probably a lot. but, on average, i'd be willing to bet that the average one doesn't know anything about it at all. my point is, let the engineering folks like me do our jobs and let moms do theirs.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE learn how the nuclear plants work before making these videos. they DO NOT release radiation into the river. nuclear power is in the country's best interest. 90% of the economy in the Middle East is supported by oil. so, every time you put gas in your car, YOU ARE PAYING TERRORISTS. it's that simple. we need renewables, i agree. but we'd be fools not to invest in nuclear as well as nuclear reprocessing so we don't have to store as much waste. get the facts straight, PLEASE.
