Thanks for the video. I am 61 yrs old and I had perioral erbium laser 23 days ago . The doctor did 4 passes over my upper lip lines. My esthetician said that it erases the lip lines and I will not see them afterwards. The doctor said that I will see 40 to 60% reduction in lip lines. They might be reduced, but I still see them. I was wondering if this normal. Afterwards my esthetician said that she could laser them by etching them out, but I can't do anything at least for another year. I read where it takes months for the collagen remodeling to take place. What is your experience with this? Thanks!

Hi! It all depends on how aggressive the laser treatment is. We prefer aggressive treatments for better results but that means a longer recovery time. The tradeoff is much longer durability of the result. I personally do very aggressive treatments and quote an 80-90% reduction in facial wrinkles. I LIKE RESULTS. Since the perioral muscles are the most often used muscles in the body (haha, no kidding), AND the skin is pretty thick in this area, the wrinkles are "well grooved" and tougher to eliminate as a result. Therefore, they are the highest candidates to have retreatment. The #2 areas of "wear and tear" are the upper and lower eyelids with about 13,000 blinks or uses per day. The #3 area is the forehead. Where are you located? SC does not allow estheticians to do ablative lasers. I am wondering if you had a fractionated laser or the deep laser protocol (more aggressive and longer recovery with better results). Why can't you do anything for another year? You can have another treatment as soon as you recover from the prior one. It usually takes about 3 months to see the second phase of laser improvement, which is collagen remodeling and thickening of the dermis. The first phase is immediate collagen contraction due to thermal heating. I have been using this laser for about 25 years and I believe it to be THE BEST anti-aging tool that exists. It literally reverses skin aging. There is really nothing else that does that. Hope this helps. Dr. McFadden

@@AdvancedCosmeticSurgery Thanks for your response. I am in Va. I had the TRL Erbium laser done by a plastic surgeon. Because I am still working, the only time to have this done for my schedule is over Christmas break, so that's why I would have to wait a year. I can't take off work for the down time, even though I do have 2 months of summer off, but the sun is too strong for ablative lasering at that time. Anyway, I hope to see more results as time goes by. It sure is an ordeal to go through it again. I love that you say 80-90% results! I just want them gone. Thanks again!

I had my insurance cover the majority of the cost, I only paid 430. The total was like 6700. Totally worth it, the pain having heavy breast is not fun, hard to run and exercise.

I just had mine done 3 days ago...I have a little pain, hardly any drainage. I went from a 36 H to 34 D.

I had mine done a week ago, with hardly any pain. Was up and walking the same day but drain incisions are uncomfortable. So happy with my results! Went from a H to a C!

I have had 2 fractional co2 lasers and love my skin What I do see is if I lift ever so slightly up on my cheeks it makes my eyes and cheeks look better Mini might be the key for me. My surgeon says I don’t qualify for a full face lift as I don’t have enough skin laxity ❤. Suggestions welcome ❤

I do not have a family history of breast cancer. Why are they trying to force me to get a mammogram which is radiation which causes cancer they want me to take a test that causes cancer to see if I have cancer that makes no sense at all.

Keep in mind that the more invasive the procedure that you undertake, the better the results usually are. For me, I recovered of the weekend SMA very fast healer. Most people are swollen for about 5 to 7 days. I never missed a day of work.

Doctor you said that a mini facelift doesn't have anything supporting it so is it just a skin lift? Also what supports a full face lift? Is it the myofascial?

To clarify, any type of surgical procedure is meant to resuspend the fascial tissue Surrounding the muscle to a different level and hopefully that is where the tissue overall used to be positioned. It is a restoration process. Surgery does not correct wrinkles or improve skin quality. Laser, resurfacing and radio frequency procedures do that. I hope that answers your question.

Surgery can only help reposition tissue to where it should be. Laser resurfacing and other radio frequency procedures will help contract the tissue and Slow the process of relaxation.

I had mine done yesterday. The drains are the worst and when I stand it is VERY painful. My meds don't take the pain away fully. just helps me deal with it. I have Fibromyalgia, so the thing that I didn't even consider is how much nerve pain is all over my body. Not to mention all the other feelings that come with nerve pain. It's miserable, but not intolerable. One of the worst things is the dizziness.I'm so sensitive to meds. I'm also hoping that my boobs will look nice. Right now they are swallen and flat because of the bandages so I can't really look to see what they look like. So that has me concerned a bit, if I'm honest.. it's so wild to look down and not see my oversized breast anymore. (I was between a E and G. Now, I'm C/D) It's so surreal. I waited so long. I just pray it all works out. 😊

Same, it’s taking me a bit longer than I anticipated, and the tiredness what has been the worst as well as where the drainage lines were and lifting more than 5 pounds is slightly painful. Looking to the “bigger picture” and hanging in there. Best of luck to you in your recovery!

@@MsKittyWitz same to you. I talked to my doctor, he said, even though it's a same day surgery, too keep in mind it's a big surgery and that healing will be slow and steady. Lifting is painful but not as much as stretching for me. Everything is still so tender and new. The itching has been the worst part of everything, but I would do it a hundred times over. This is one of the best decisions I have made for myself. I feel so thankful. I thank God everyday. Even though my boobs still look like something out of a freak show circus. Haha. Praying for you. Show yourself some care. You will get there.

Yes, it is! Keep in mind that Pat crafting is not a one for one solution. In other words there’s only roughly a 70% take of the grafted fat relative to how much is removed. Individual factors can cause this number to vary. Not very much volume is needed in the hands, but likely there is much more needed in the legs. To clarify, a surgical facelift only repositions tissue to where it should be or used to be. Skin quality issues are never improved by surgery alone. In other words, wrinkles, discoloration, textural issues, etc. are not improved by surgery. This is a common misunderstanding. The laser resurfacing helps these issues tremendously and is likely the number one anti-aging maneuver than anyone can ever do, laser surgery are complementary. They are not substitutes for one another.

The Tolerance regarding Anesthesia depends upon how much you need and how tough you are. To be aggressive, one needs general anesthesia.

My case was unilateral. I was 20 at the time. $100 for consultation. $10,050 for surgery, that includes anesthesia, facility, vitamins, etc. $100 for scar cream and $100 for a second compression garment. I forgot how much meds cost, but i only used the antibiotics and no pain meds for post op.

I had co2 fractional laser 5 months ago with really good results. But there are days the results look better than others especially under my eyes, as for tightness. Is this normal? Is there a waxing and waning process??
