Alli, this is such a great idea! 🦋 I'll be on the lookout for artwork now so I can try it myself. Dollar Tree has calendars every year, in assorted styles. I think i picked up about ten different ones this year. They start putting them out in late July for the following year.

Unfortunately, my door gets a lot of sun and every time I've put a wreath there that had stuff hot glue attaching it, everything fell off the first day. I'm in the Denver area so it's not exactly hot during the time of year where these are hanging. My door is a dark color so it gets really hot. Unfortunately most of these videos just have hot glue. Apparently most people don't seem to have the problem I have.

Oh yeah, to make a weather resistant wreath with no hot glue is a whole different ball game as they say lol not to mention the cost involved for products that don't fade or basically melt in the elements

Awww I feel that fear sometimes too, I just push through it and hope for the best more often than not hehe. I would say paper napkins are too opaque for a patterned background overlay but knowing that, you could make some very interesting art!

That came out really nice. That painting was already pretty decent to start. Would be fun to see you do that with a horrible trash rescue painting and a heavily discounted expired calendar.

Any yarn you like the texture of that is capable of draping is a great option.

If you use outdoor products, yes it will. You'd have to use outdoor silicon/caulking, outdoor faux flowers, and outdoor faux moss. Personally, outdoor products are far too expensive for me to make something that the elements eventually destroy here in Florida but it is possible. If you're putting it outside on a porch not in direct sunlight where it could fade and where it won't be rained on though, I believe it could last quite a while. Goodluck!
