Great insight. One of the most exciting interviews we have conducted so far. Honest insight from a real gameplayer!

Intriguing. Especially the part about the ads revenue and interpretation of NETFLIX launching their own gaming services.

Best part: There is, among some of the bigger players and also among independent consultants that have different stakes, sort of mutual agreement to keep asking the question - do we really need low latency? Or do we really need synchronization? And while a valid question, it's also kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Because as long as the bigger brands are not creating the experience that the audience is waiting for them to create, nobody's going to have to move. So that is, what I'm calling the dinosaurs here. They're holding on to the thing that they've always been doing. And they're optimizing that, but not moving on to the next generation.
Do you have more details published when you say "quadra encoder configurations aligned with svt-av1". Are the parameters you fed into Quadra published to compare against the svt presets?

Hi Ryan, yes, please email us at info at netint.com and request the details.

Good job! A PCIe card at a prosumer scale and cost, with straightforward v4l2 drivers, would be a huge win; otherwise I guess it'll have to wait.

960fps at ~7mbps? I am extremely skeptical of those claims. Are 936/960 of those frames skip frames? But even at 24fps these results look really good!

I presume that FPS here means ‘encoding speed, frames per second’. This is supposed to advertise hardware performance, not video fluidity. What you are seeing here are the standard KZbin frame rates...
