I dislike, how the first stage of the vvt is all about economy. I get, why suzuki did that, but i hate the lack of low end tourque. Can this be fixed with programming the ecu or would the camshaft have to be changed? Thx for the video, have fun!
@giggsys_garage4 ай бұрын
@@gehtdianschasau8372 I honestly couldn't tell you. I have a stand alone to put on so we will see but I don't think the stock ecus are "tunable"
@gehtdianschasau83724 ай бұрын
I just love to see someone treating it with so much care. It's one of the last real mechanical cars. When something breaks (which is rare) a mechanic can fix it, you don't need IT expert. I will never forget my swift gti, but the Ignis is almost as much fun.

@@gehtdianschasau8372 haha I treat it with care but also kick it's head in they are a very fun little car but I'd love to see what the older swifts are like to drive

Your not at all dude don't worry about it!! I think I'm going to use the ecu tbh, see if I can get it working then modify the ignis harness to run the 3sge 👍👍

im at a similar stage with my own ignis. id love to know how easy it is to remove the dash, need to get the last of my insulation out too. is the harness bar you have a univerasl one, and where did you get your bucket seat bases? i have a 6 point harnes and seats but no way to fit them right now
@giggsys_garage10 ай бұрын
The dash is a paint in the arse the first time you take it out unless you pull it out with the dash bar as well. There are 2 brackets that stop the heater tubes coming out but I just cut them off as I new I would be taking the dash in and out a few times. The harness bar is a modefied universal one had to widen it and also lengthen the support bars. The seats bases I made myself but I'm going to remake.
@dragoblock10 ай бұрын
@@giggsys_garage i intend to take it out with the dash bar anyway, less of a faf. only need the last of the insulation out, ill probably find out about these brackets when i do that XD so even the universal harness bars are semi custom, thats a minor annoyance and if youre going to re-make the seat bases, will the old ones be up for sale?

Nice driving! Would you recommend stripping the interior and putting on a custom exhaust for performance? Already installed a custom intake and noticed a slight bump in acceleration.
@giggsys_garage2 жыл бұрын
Cheers man 👍. There isn't a load of weight in the interior to be honest, as for exhaust I've just bought another stock ignis and my track one seems to come in to power a little sooner with exhaust and intake 🤷♂️
