Whenever I used to visit your country back in those days, I would always search the big chain stores for their exclusive baseball card sets like this one. I've got a whole shoebox full of these sets. I've got Topps sets from Woolworth, Toys R Us, Kmart, Hills, Ames, Kaybee Toys and 4 different Fleer sets (they don't say where they were sold), but not the set in the video, probably because I've never seen a McCrory store before. I've got 24 different sets like this, but not 1987 Fleer Baseball's Best. Trivia for you: Do you know what was the 1st of these kind of sets? McGwire's rookie card is 1985 Topps (shown as a member of Team USA), Incaviglia = In-ka-veel-ya, Canseco's rookie cards are 1986 Fleer and Donruss; he's also in 1986 Topps Traded, but not the regular 1986 Topps set.

What an interesting product! Back when a regional store would be able to afford an MLB and MLBPA license, pretty safe to say we won't ever see anything like this ever again.

Gil Perreault = Jill Pare-oh. Gil is short for Gilbert, which = Jill-bare. Ron Greschner = Gresh-ner. Curt Giles = Jy-uhls (rhymes with files). Kelly Kisio had 8 20-goal seasons, but he never reached 30 goals in a season. What's up with our hockey teams? CBJ in the last playoff spot and the Canadiens only 1 point behind. Exciting stuff!

Another great video. I love this channel. You always have good and positive energy. Just so you know, I couldn't read anything off the cards when I broke my tin as well. At least I know it's not just me.

I buy a base set of UD every year out of habit (why would I want to spend hundreds of $ for the Young Guns?), but haven't bought it yet this season. The card design always looks the same. It's getting boring, so maybe I won't get it anymore (although I probably will). Plus, I have no room to put new stuff!

The owner of the card store I used to work at in the early '90s, his dad was friends with William Shatner when they were kids. My brother used to force me to watch Star Trek when we were kids because he was (and still is) older than me, so he had control of the TV. Well, he didn't force me to watch it but if I wanted to watch something else on TV when Star Trek was on, that was not an option!

Not a Trek fan, more of a Star Wars fan. My favorite card was the Corridor card. 😂

Cool. Great series 🛸 Shatner born in Montreal & Doohan born in Vancouver & he was shot on D-Day with the Canadian Artillery Division. Watch & Rewatched....still would watch it.

Maybe this will help with Gary Suter….years ago in the Canada Cup he injured Wayne Gretzky with a dirty hit and I remember a fan had a sign that said something like “hey Canada neuter Suter” (since they rhymed) haha

That was a fun box. Many people are complaining how small the relic cutouts are this year for Artifacts. You did get a nice Thomas patch, but can barely see multiple colors. I will never turn down a MacKinnon card!
