Love Inspector Lynley ,watched it over and over again.Please bring it back with new episodes and the remake won't be anywhere near it.The script is wonderful .Love the scene where Lynley tells Havers "Don't push me away",so intensely said though they didn't have any romantic scenes.And the scene where Lynley learns that Helen is pregnant but he doesn't seem that enthusiastic as first thing he says "Havers will be leaving",loved it.There was this undercurrent which was quite palpable and both were soooo good that can't imagine anybody doing it.

Damien Molony is the ideal actor for this reimagined series, conflicted characters are his forte. And with Toby Whithouse at the helm, this is destined to be every bit as iconic as the original. Can't wait.

John Nettles, (whom I adore) is in his eighties now, and I understand he’s not feeling that great lately. And yes, I would love to see a cameo, or some reference to his younger years as Bergerac, but give the guy a break, he’s already given us SO MUCH!
